Good Morning
55° with a forecast high in the low 70’s. Another clear day without rain.
Yesterday was a lazy day, I went over to the RC club field to service the batteries in the solar charging station, used a gallon and a half of distilled water.

I did bring a plane and got a few flights in while I was there.
Watched grandson fish down at the pond, he caught a 12” bass while I was there.

Youngest son grilled sausages and corn on the cob, made banana splits for desert.

Today starts with breakfast with the professor, then I’ll hook up the Progressive mower and knock out all the open areas that are as dry as they’re gonna be before tomorrow’s rain.

Not sure what’s after that, but I’ll think of something. Looks like I’m going back to Burlington, VT tomorrow to pick up the person I left there last week. It’s a noon pickup, so a leisurely start to the day.

Morning all, 64 going to 73 and sunny.
Got the cover into it's bag, onto the wheel barrow and into the garage, took about 2 hours of struggling.
Got the pool balanced pretty close and added 200 pounds of salt and some PH+ and things are humming along. Need to finish cleaning.
Driveway delayed by a day, not a big deal for us.
Dog walk at peddlars village where they started building the sand sculptures again for this year.
Busy weekend, but got a lot done.

Got bit by probably a spider. Arm is still puffy two days later.

Welcome back Mostly.

Be well,
At peddlers village yesterday, last of the birdhouses and one of the sand sculptures.

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! Currently 60° going to a high of 72° with cloud. Turning to rain later this afternoon, some new type of pollen must be in the air as my eyes are scratchy this morning.

Busy weekend, went up on Saturday to investigate the land. Two plots are for sale, the 17 acre one and a 16 acre one. 17 acre puts the building site behind a small plot of a neighbors, and the 16 acre is cheaper too. I can be on a ski resort in 5 minutes, and on a major highway in 10. Will likely try to put offers in on both, as 17 and 16 acres are larger than the 12 my father currently has, and it's difficult to see neighbors on that.

Played 9 holes on Sunday with brother-in-law. He can out-drive me, but can't seem to figure out his irons. 59 to 62 in his favor, we both suck but we had fun. Nephew was a big hit, kept mom and dad in stitches. Good meal on Sunday, Grandma came out to enjoy steak and crabs and shrimp. Good sweet corn too.

Monday was when all the work started again: Moved the remainder of the mushroom soil into the raised garden beds after they settled, scooped up the excess shavings from the stump grinding escapade and put it in the woods, followed by finishing up mowing, then scooped grass clippings for mom to mulch the newly planted tomatoes with.

Now I'm battling through all the stuff everyone pushed off on Friday, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Main goals for this week: Get an offer together for the land, talk to more blood suckers-I mean bankers, survive work week.

Stay safe out there y'all! Guard your health!
Prayers for all ailing and recovering!

62F and mostly cloudy @ 09:30, headed up to around 70F for the day’s high.

Rain chances increase to around 25/30 percent later this afternoon/evening but go way up in the wee hours.

First cup tasting good.

Chops and scalloped potatoes were delicious along with the fresh corn on the cob. Woman made shortbread to go along with the strawberries for desert.

Watered all the seed pots around back yesterday as they were looking dry.

Got Woman’s banana tree watered as well.

Upcoming weather is such that the larger tomato plants can now be moved to the shelves out back.

Ended up getting 10 of the 12 foot 4 x 4 posts coated on one side yesterday.

There are 24 of them total. Plus another eight 8 footers for the H braces and a pair of 6 footers for the gates.

… so this is going to take some time.

Think I’m going to unload the hay wagon today then bring it over and load up all the posts and move everything over to the barn where it can be worked on rain or shine.

Checked the moisture content on the top side of the 4 x 4 posts yesterday before I started coating and they read about 10%. Bottom sides seemed damper but I didn’t check them with the meter.

Might try and get a little more mowing done out front if it seems like it’s any drier.

Garbage needs collected and taken up to the cans at the road.

Hope everyone is having a decent Tuesday …

When I was building my house, a church up the road a mile always “played” a song of ringing bells at 6 pm. They used PA speakers up in their “bell” tower. Always enjoyed that, don’t know when they stopped.
The clock I have in my garage does that.

Very light rain started about 1:30, hasn’t registered any in gauge yet, but can see it, and hear it, and feel it.
I was about to start mowing. Last night forecast said it wouldn’t rain till late evening.
Ran to Lowe’s and got more concrete mix, took 2 loads of dirt away with BX, drilled 2 more holes with Massey and pto phd, and filled with concrete before the rain.
Covered wood on trailer with plastic.
Totally forgot about 1:00 mtg with financial guy, so got that rescheduled.

Sitting in the waiting room at the Toyota dealership getting my annual free state inspection. Already walked around and drooled on the new models...new, same model Tundra is $22K more than mine 9 years ago. I'm in no hurry to change.

Stopped at our favorite Chinese for lunch.
