looks like a wet day for the Northeast.
rain is just starting here, expect a day of it, some local flooding is forecast
I'm not going anywhere today so will just enjoy the pitter patter.

RS, agree with you about shorter oil change intervals.
do you put about 100-150 hours on it yearly?
in which case I'd change it end of year and let it sit through winter with clean oil in it.

I only put a fraction of that on my mower, only really change the oil to get out any
condensation, using good full synthetic, and a filter, and not used in terrible conditions,
I bet you could do 200 hours. I wouldn't, but I bet pros do.

Thomas, pace yourself toting that firewood. Should be nice and dry by this winter.
always thought having a moisture meter would be a good thing.

Ct, 54 to start going to 69 with rain coming in later.

Worked 4 hours yesterday and will do the same today , then head to Vt and spend a few days up there, hoping somehow that rain won’t be too bad

good morning, 50 going to 58 raining, more than an inch overnight

the 4 goslings are still doing fine. The geese are not letting them swim in the ponds so that is where the risk is coming from with the snapping turtles

Stacked more firewood using the tractor bucket to dig into the pile for pick up. A little skill involved to get the bucket as loaded as possible without having to do it manually, rain out today for stacking

Wife's infusion yesterday. It could not come soon enough. Dr appointment for her today as well

Good Morning
54°, damp and grey this morning. Only .02” of rain so far, but supposed to see some rain every day until Sunday.

Yesterday was a busy day after a leisurely breakfast. I spent all day mowing, used the 16’ Progressive, the 90”, and the 60” Lazer, so plenty of seat time. Except for the string trimming, it’s all done.

It amazes me how much grass collects on the rear deck of the Progressive.

I bought it used, and that deck had a lot of rot, which is pretty easy to explain if you don’t clean it off after every mowing. I repaired it with stainless steel, but still clean it off every mowing.

The Runway is looking good.

I’m off to Burlington, VT today, seems like I usually have trips when it’s raining here, so I don’t miss much.

I think I will take another stab at the fuel meter today.

My spider spray is at the courier depot/convenience store waiting on me. I will go into town on Friday and pick it up.

54 this morning but should get warmer and clearer as the day goea on. Mid 70s. We got 2" of rain between mid night to midnight yesterday.
With all the rain decided to be a couch potato and nurse my banged up wrist. While PW the tractor Monday got tangled in the hose and went down catching my self with my right hand. Hurt like hell yesterday. And with the rain and cold my body was complaining in general. Feels better today. I'll keep it wrapped for a day or 2 and it will be fine.

Time for a second cup

Don, did you practice your German at the farm ?

No I did not need to. They are understanding English a lot better than the times before. Every once in a while there is a word that is unfamiliar to them and I spell it and they put it in their phone translator - no problems with communicating.

Good morning! 71˚F light rain, 0.17 this morning, rain started at 430am. If it clears up water volleyball, if not table tennis today. Glad WE got the lawn mowed yesterday evening, it sure goes fast with 2 people.
