Does the rest of the Bronco Sport have carpet or rubber on the floors? I personally would rather have rubber flooring everywhere. That is one of the reasons I went with the F350XL. (yes, I know you can do "carpet delete" on the other trim levels, but I also didn't want cloth seats or power windows/locks).
I'm not really sure Runner? I never looked at the other models to tell you the truth because they all had that 1.5L 3 cylinder engine and I don't really feel comfortable with that. I don't know anything about them good or bad. I just knew I was happy with the power of a 2.0 turbo in my VW so I went same size with the Bronco.

IMO the stripped down version of vehicles are always the best deal to be had. Buy it with an AM radio, steel wheels, basic seats and rubber floor. Add what I want to aftermarket for a FRACTION of the cost. They're a tool for me and nothing more.

I knew my tractor had to have a 3rd function and rear ports but I didn't allow the dealer to do it or buy a kit from some retailer. I pieced the components together, fabbed my own brackets and got both front and rear ports for about half the cost of just a front port alone would have cost me.

Now my better half is the complete opposite, she will add $10K onto a vehicle's price JUST because she wanted the sunroof or a certain stereo package, or leather seats. She also never keeps one longer than a year. But that's none of my business, we don't share money. We split our mortgage, utilities, and any associated costs of maintaining our home, and it ends there. My money, her money and it works out perfectly that way.

Actually it's pretty common to find powerful v8's in Wranglers. Once you get into the bigger tires, the 3.6 just doesn't cut it. My brother-in-law spent a small fortune having a Hellcat engine put in his Wrangler. Then he sunk it in the lake trying to pull out his brand new $300K ski boat that he had for a week.:ROFLMAO:

The one thing I did shut off in my F150 is the emergency braking, after a couple times I went to pass somebody on the highway and it slammed the brakes on and all kinds of alarms.
My newest car sounds like a casino every time I pull into the garage - warning me I'm about to run into my shop vac, etc. It also tugs at the steering wheel if I get close to or (Heaven forbid) drive over the yellow or white lines....

I'd really like to disable all that stuff, but after reading through the 800 pages of manuals I was so exhausted, I just said "screw it" and drive it the way it is.

I'd not recommend the Bronco sport for jeep owners
I wouldn't recommend either of the Bronco's to a Jeep owner. :cool: Not that they are bad vehicles by any stretch though. I know the Bronco had some issues with the one engine but not so much with the other. The Bronco Sport has been very reliable from what I understand. And they are sharp as well.

I'd really like to disable all that stuff, but after reading through the 800 pages of manuals I was so exhausted, I just said "screw it" and drive it the way it is.
In our Ranger I thought I'd shut off the auto stop, steering assist, etc etc. Today I like them and left them all on. Bronco is going the same way.

You can turn all these features off in the Bronco Sport. Saleswoman took us through all the options in the dash display to set everything up before we left the lot.

I hate the system on my F150 though. I have everything turned off, but despite that it still gives you multiple dash warnings any time the windshield is dirty, wet and frosty telling you the camera view is blocked.
Why do I need all the warnings if it's shut off!!!!

I saw a video on YT where a guy demonstrated that all you have to do to eliminate the engine start/stop on a Ford is unplug a wire at the battery, because that's how it knows if the engine is running or not. Didn't even cause a check engine light. Don't have a vehicle with that issue, so never needed to try it myself.

On my Ranger, I shut off the driver assist, or whatever they call it. I was taking an exit off highway and it tried to correct it to stay on. Love the adaptive CC though...

You can add a night light into the rear seat area plug. The electronics sees the draw and will disable. Read on Ranger5g.com
