Good morning!!!!

Good morning, the low is 61 and going to 84°F. No wind. Foggy now but going to get smoky later today. Temps going
to the 90s tomorrow.

I grabbed a couple of Eco-flow River 2 Max battery bank systems to use in the power outages. IF they work as advertised then when the power goes out I can still run my computer. We'll see.

Another energy conservation day, due to the smoke from the Manitoba forest fires. Ontario has a few too, so we are no angels.

Drew, in your life time of driving and backing up anything bigger than your car, how many hole-in-ones have you got to your credit?

I can honestly say that with a semi and one trailer I have had a few, but with two trailers I can count the number of time I have succeeded on one hand.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning,
Ct, 69 to start going to possibly 90 with heavy humidity.
Wow, easy to fall behind on this thread 😳 I blink my eyes and everyone has moved on 😳

Heavy rain last night, possibly 2 plus inches or more.

Today is a day of rest and that is exactly what I am going to do. Now that I am retired I can treat every day that ends in 'day' as a Sunday. ;)
Bill, I like that idea for at least today 😉
Now looking at Mr Cool DIY
Dennis, my oldest son has decided that our Vermont house is to hot in the summer, so he went out and bought a system to handle 1500 sq ft. All the bedrooms have AC window units but the family room and kitchen dining area do not. So I think he is using Paul’s advice and buying a pump and other tools to do the job right rather than going with a pre charged line set. I told both sons I have room in my electrical panel to give them a separate 20 amp circuit. So we will see how that goes.

However, I’d suggest going even cheaper on the equipment and buy a vacuum pump, a basic manifold and a burnishing type flaring tool and making a proper installation.
Hope all have a blessed and safe day 🙏

it was Sunday morning with no traffic so this time I hogged up the whole road early and got rv stopped in a
better spot. Second time Bill for a hole in one, usually takes me one k turn to position and one to reverse.
if my neighbor had not put his mail box two feet on my property, this would be much easier.
Still have to have a talk with him about that. I know that he, like I, did not know where the line was.

went out and fed the birds, running out of seed so stop at hardware store at 8am when they open is planned.
then supermarket in same shopping center. And then home to wash the rv.

Good morning TBN!!
66 this morning going to about 94 w/Tstorms possible.

Not much yesterday. Finally got my haircut. Quick run to groc. store and home to just putter the rest of the day.
Much the same planned for today. Also packing for Ohio annual party. Going a couple of days early to help with setup. Usually anywhere between 50 and 100 people usually show up.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

65.1F and sunny with some haze @ 07:30, calling for a high of 88F for the day.

Coffee tasting very good this morning.

The Squeak is out in the garage on safari, hopefully will not invite anymore of her friends in to visit …

Wrote the following yesterday (I think) and forgot to hit the post button:

“When I woke up and looked at my phone there was a real-time precipitation alert on it from a couple of hours ago.

Looks like we got right around 0.25” … which is quite welcome and was very needed.

Of course it means the front lawn will need mowing again in the next couple of days.

Got temporary repair done on garage door before I went to bed last night.

Checked summer squash before I came in last night. Largest zucchini was almost 6”, two largest yellow squash were 6” and 7”. Have several more 3” to 4” long.

The larger ones should be ready to go in the next day or so, so I’ll get them picked, sliced up, blanched and vacuum sealed to go in the freezer. (Assuming I can locate the vacuum sealer)

Need to go through the rhubarb and see what can picked and put up as well.”

Yesterday took dump cart full of weeds and debris up and added to the compost pile.

Got last two winter squash planted, on the 3rd section of the arched trellis, watered in, and mulched. All that’s left on the shelves are tomato plants.

Some some more trimming done on the indeterminate tomatoes.

Brought down more wood chips for mulching in the garden: 2 stump/shrub bucketloads into the dump cart. Did that twice.

Then scooped the wood chips into a bucket and carried to the south end of the garden to mulch around the rhubarb, blueberries, and pole beans.

Had well above my typical number of steps yesterday.

Marked fence post locations again before the paint faded out and disappeared. Ran out of marker paint, need to check in garage and see if I have any old partial cans left to finish that up.

Pushed on stump of ash tree we cut down out front with shrub bucket and then chained it to the box blade and gave it a pull. It’s loose and moving but not quite ready to come out yet.

Woman helped me get 2 more tomato cages flipped and driven into the ground.

Woman wants the sunflowers She picked up planted on the west side of the shop. So I’ll get that sprayed with glyphosate this morning and then haul over screened compost to create a planting bed there.

May put on the root rake/grapple and see about clearing the western perimeter down here by the house so I can get in there with the PHD to auger some planting holes for the arborvitae.

Have three partial pallets of mulch that need relocated to a better area that will allow for loading them in the dump cart or bucket in the shade … rather than in the sun.

That will clear out an area on the west side of the frog pond where I can stockpile screened compost.

First thing on agenda though is quick run down to Menards in Massillon to pick up 3 more t posts so I can get the last cattle panel put up for the pumpkins in back.

Feeders will need some attention when I get back.

Calling for more rain tomorrow so getting the front lawn mowed will be on the agenda at some point today.

Hope everyone is having a decent Tuesday …

Morning all, 74 going to 89 and cloudy.
Last nights forecasted rough storms dropped ,5" of rain, not the 1.5" they called for, good by me.

Cleaned out popcorn maker and leftovers for dinner.

Day job is busy (good), taking son over to train around lunch time.
Truck appointment not until Monday. Chauffeur duty again.

Be well,

Good Morning
It’s 74° and overcast. High of 85 and clearing is forecast.

Yesterday I made some progress cleaning up in the shop, I ran out of material cutting out Rockman’s sandblast mask. Was able to get him everything he needed by reducing some quantities.
He brought me another project, some diamond core bits to shorten. I cut about 6” out of the shaft on the bandsaw, drilled and reamed the hub to fit the shortened shafts and brazed them back together. Other than running out of oxygen, ad having to tun out to exchange my bottle, it went smoothly.

Today starts with breakfast with the professor, followed by going to the RC club to hang out and fly with the old guys.
After that I think I have to tidy up the shop a bit, I was challenged for a clear spot on the welding table to put those bits together.
Then I’m sure I’ll find something else to keep me busy.

The voice procedure is just give call sign basically to acknowledge contact. The digital is automatic you make the connection and then disconnect. Been many years they may have changed that procedure now not sure. The digital required no involvement on their part it was thru a TNC/Radio setup.
