My suburban with Michelin ATX tires would need 4x4 on to also not be stuck on flat grass. They had 75% tread too. Worst AT tire ever made. It also has a positive rear.

Ya. There are some options for locking diffs but it's not trivial to find and buy

There are tons of lift kits out there now but there is a trade off to going to a UTV tire vs street

Kei trucks are getting harder to register

It got stuck in wet grass on flag ground. Even with 4wd. Granted I had street tires but it was awful.

Hard to find parts compared to most vehicles. Insurance was annoying to get.

For working on the farm, just use the tractor.
Recently registered mine, not complicated at all.

Mine will climb slopes I hadn't expected it to (maybe 30-35 degrees on grass and dirt) in 4WD, but without the diff lock. And on street tires.

Haven't needed any parts, but many places sell nothing but KEI parts. And insurance was stupid easy to get.

Why would I use a tractor when the HiJet will do the job? Yes, at times I take the Can Am instead, but generally prefer the basically disposable HiJet. No, it certainly can't do what the tractors can, but those I use for tractor work.

Diff lock would be a difference maker but I didn't have it

Parts, I couldn't find a carburetor for a price I was willing to pay. Literally as expensive as I paid for the truck

Transmission parts were also hard to find. They could order a hole unit but not synchros or gears.

After 12 yrs of owning it, I still get in the wrong side sometimes :LOL: Its a working truck, we use it for farm repairs.
We just put a new clutch in, so she gets up and goes, no more slipping.

The only thing strange with a RHD to me is that when towing it was harder to keep the trailer's tires by the white line on a curvy road. Would've thought it'd be easier, but nope.

And that was obviously not with my KEI pickup, but another RHD vehicle of mine.

Land Rover?

For me with a RHD, it is the turns at intersections. I try to train myself to put me the driver in the center of the road, but practice makes perfect as they say...

Back in the 80s I used to drive right hand drive Postal vans out of the AM General factory in South Bend, IN to railroad spurs around the area and load them for shipment around the country. I found myself hugging the curb more times than not. Being a van, there were no windows to look out so you relied on your left mirrors a LOT!
