Does anyone have a power pruner with extension pole, I need to buy one.

I have the Makita that telescopes out to 13’. It takes two 18v batteries. Works well, but gets heavy quickly if you don’t use the harness. (I rarely do).

Don have they made headway on cleaning up The Farm from the floods

They had 60 volunteers organized by the Taylor feed store to help clean up last weekend. The local football team and cheerleaders were in the group. Still no word when they will reopen.

Did go out and do the watering, even sitting on the little Lawn tractor while doing it was wearing in this heat.

Son lost his keys while jogging, had to run out with the spare. Did not find key on his route.

I have an M18 pole saw, extension is a separate piece so you only put it on when needed. Use it a lot lately on large branch cleanup and getting the road cleaned up from overhangs. it's 7 feet long with the 3' extension, so can get to 13/14 feet up.

Working well so far. Not as happy with the 12v outlet being under the steering wheel by the footwell, but it works.

Good morning! Cold outside at 64˚F heading to 100˚. Today is the coldest and hottest day this July. I need to trim some hedges while it is cool this morning.

Can anyone recommend a power pruner with extension pole? I need to buy one.

Also on the agenda put a coat of no-slip on the outdoor travertine.

It's been low 80's the past couple days before sunrise.

Temps going home ranged from 103° on the interstate, dropped down to 102° on the country roads, and 100° in my driveway.

Took a ride around the property in the RTV Kubota. This section of the driveway trimming looks clean for overhanging branches. Still a big pine tree left to clean up when I got nothing better to do. The neighbor is till cleaning up around the pole building and have had contractors working on it off and on for the last year.

nice visit with friend in Hatfield, really do not enjoy driving down into congested Montgomery County, always wind up
in lines of traffic. But they are worth it and after nice breakfast with school board friend at Chives in Lambertville, just took my time getting
to Hatfield, trying to stay on back roads when I could. Same Hatfield as in Hatfield pork products. Lot of critter trucks coming through, whole area used to be dairy farms I think and now totally built up.

for me it's the next congested mess South of me on the way to more congestion in Philadelphia.

really have the itch to clean up that mounting mess near the new light, but
my itch is not so severe as to get roasted out there.

Sometimes I bet you wish the huge barn was not so historic but what a marvelous building.
having grown up in a house built in 1720, and living in an area where I think half the old homes say
Washington slept there (he did not...) seeing the really good stuff get preserved is gratifying.
It's your watch, hope you can pass it on to one of the handier kids.

most importantly, wish your wife felt better. Mine got a severe pain syndrome after the very first
cancer radiation treatment and she wound up in Cleveland Clinic getting an implantable stimulator put in.
must be hard on you seeing your wife suffer, sure been there done that. And wish it on no one.
some times you just have to up the meds. In fact for chronic pain, fairly sure that's normal as tolerances are built up.
it was for us. I'm sure you try hard to distract her, help where you can.
you can tell your wife the old line, how true, that 20 good looking guys want her to feel better.

right now I'd like to beat this heat and get volunteer seat time on Sodamo's tractor and bush hog.
bet there's a nice breeze there all the time on top of the mountain.

I wonder how many crazy fools in Hawaii went out with the surfboards last night trying to catch the tidal wave
coming in

Looks cooler today. We have started walking the dog in the morning rather than evening because of the heat.

Success mowing yesterday - until I lost a stabilizer pin. Managed to limp back to tractorshed and call it a day. Will scrounge around and look for another but not much hope.

Guess everyone has heard our Tsunami warning garnered most of the attention starting yesterday afternoon. Dominated the evening TV. Little damage reported, more of a wait for daylight to see.

Meeting friends in town later for a Thai dinner. Likely leave earlier to get my pin replacement etc.

88F and "Fair"@ 12:00, mix of sun and clouds. DP 70F, HU 60%, "feels like" temp = 102F.

Cold front due in tonight which should really cool things down and taking us into much cooler temps for the next week or so.

Only calling for a high of 71F tomorrow - which is way below normal - with heavy rain ...

Yesterday ended up being not quite as productive as I had hoped.

Spent around 3 hours on the phone with ISP and Apple tech support trying to resolve an issue with email access. Was only partially successful, able to access email with the app on my phone and via a web browser ... but not with my email client on the desktop ... very frustrating ... as email issues seem to be a fairly regular occurrence ...

The day wasn't a complete waste however.

I did get another 3 loads of mulch hauled down to the arbs with the Kubota.

Then spent a good bit of time wandering around looking for my house keys before leaving for Menards to pick up the order.

I had taken the Kubota key off the key chain as I normally do since I had been using it ... which made the key chain shorter.

Checked living room, kitchen, bedroom, garage, basement, outside where I had been working. Nada.

Was about to give up and throw in the towel and happened to look down and noticed the key chain was clipped to a belt loop on my shorts. Doh!

Not having the Kubota key on it made it less noticable, flopping around.

Headed off for Menards and got order picked up. Unloaded it when I got back and got some of the critter food put away in their containers, 8 pieces of 4" drain pipe loaded on the Kubota bucket and hauled around back, then put the 4 bales of peat moss into the bucket and hauled over to the west side where we're planting the arbs.

Refilled hopper feeder plus scattered some seeds for the ground feeders. Need to refill a suet feeder today.

Got wireless charger ordered for the phone, that's currently out for delivery.

Got all the brassicas sprayed with Sevin and covered back up.

Yesterday's haul from the garden:

Thinking some kosher dill spears might be in the offing ...

Probably haul more mulch down today and work on getting that spread around the arbs.

Get the rest of the critter food put away.

Front lawn and compost/woodlot both need mowed again ... a good task for a hot day ... especially with decent amount of cloud cover.

Have a bunch of summer squash that need processed and bagged for the freezer ... might be a good cool off job late in the afternoon.

Thanks Drew, she appreciated your comments and you are right in trying to distract her as best I can. Today got her some burnt end brisket from nearby restaurant. Not the same taste as the ones I make by cutting off the tip of the brisket but never the less pretty good

The screw jack is turned very hard and must be 20 ton plus and the back stop did not move a bit. Wall is straight now

Decided against servicing equipment until cooler and went instead to find things to do with the excavator. First up was separating out the rounds after the recent tree cutting and then use it to take down branches all the while staying cool in the cab
