Good morning, the low is 65 and going up to 81°F. Wind S 6 mph. 40% chance of showers.

It only took one bag of salt to cover the ground around both tanks. The other bag I will spread down the center of the driveway and kill the grass there before I disk it in. Then reshape it. That is a late fall job.

Property tax bill came in...Up $62.oo from last year...$686.97 for this half a year. I can do it in installments, first one due by 29 Aug. $343.97 and second one by 29 Sept. $343.oo. I may have to do it that way. Wont know for sure until after the phone bill comes in.

WOW! $350.oo power bill, is that for the quarter year?

Not sure what I will get up to today. Maybe pull some water line out.

I’m going to suggest that we accept voluntary donations from the members. Curious how that will go.

Lou, well I went one step better, I used a couple of dabs from my grease gun
The last time I had to use a jack to get the rear rims off and I jacked up the front end and used wooden blocks to get the front tires off with the aid of power steering. From that time forward I used a little grease on the mating surfaces.

Good Morning,
Ct, 56 to start going to 77 with clear skies and low humidity. Heading to Long Island later today and the concert on Sunday night at Jones Beach.

I worked until 2:30 yesterday, so almost a full day. Then I came home and packed up my radio gear and headed to a local park. Couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t hearing anything on the radio when I got there, it ended up being an issue at the vertical antenna base was grounding out. Managed to get it working, but was getting a bit frustrated. I think I straightened it out when I got home but will have to play with it out in the yard before venturing out to another park next week.

Well I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend

Good Morning from Central Texas.
Just after 5:30 am, temperature 74.3, dew point 73.7. Heading to Austin for 3 different appointments, so the day is shot. Traffic normally horrid, Friday traffic always worse.
Did manage to get 20+ gallons of Grazon sprayed yesterday, and too much on me.

My monthly power bills used to be under $100 month, now are $200-$300 a month. Same house, 1 less person. The war on coal came at a price.

did set up a belt grinder and tried it out on lawn mower blades. Impressive removal rate and no heat going into the blades.

L4N one month $47 was for extra charges for line distribution more expensive ways to make power.

65 high of 80 very cloudy misty so far. Went to bed at 1:30 up at 7:00.

Precious getting very sweet now sits on porch with us very close now in yard playing.

Good Morning
62° with a high that might reach 80 under a clear sky today.

Yesterday’s PCP visit went as expected, was admonished to eat less, exercise more. Other than that, things are ok.

I did get the Landpride driveshaft off and lubed, but it’s still in the back of the carryall. Got the mowing around the buildings done with the Lazer, and the open areas with the Progressive.
Blew off the both mowers, pressure washed the Lazer. Got everything put away in time to have a bite to eat, and get to the RC club in time to fly before the meeting.

Today is back to Portland, ME later this morning, back in time to play music tonight. Not much time in between to try and mow the fence lines, there is always mañana……

Morning all, 61 going to 82 and sunny, less hazy
Well it seems the smoke is clearing out a bit.
Did some watering and spent some time making paths through the stiltgrass so I can spray.
The fusilade does seem to work, I had to add 20% more to the 5 gallons to make it effective this time.

I trimmed out paths through the stiltgrass, it is getting close to seeding so I have to deal with it now. Found lots of large branches and tree trunks still out there, many covered in grass and hard to see. This winter the forks will get a lot of use moving them to the side area, way too much for burning right now. This whole view used to be filled with Ash trees.

Big item on the agenda is the purchase of a new Zero turn mower. It will put a hurting on our “rainy day fund”, I’m going to suggest that we accept voluntary donations from the members. Curious how that will go.
