Rip, great to hear from you. Low sugar ketchup is better for you... ;)
glad you are doing ok and you clearly have been busy with major stuff.
when you get time, milk house pics?

for you engineers, do ya think they should have braced/reinforced that initial curve a little better?

Likely due to plastic tube weakening from UV exposure

Morning all, 64 going to 84 and sunny.
The 2 Simplicity 14H are gone, put an add in FB marketplace and got about 30 hits in an hour.
Most of course were bots there to annoy me.
I put in pickup only, got asked if I could deliver.
I asked how they would pick them up, either no answer (bot) or something like the trunk of my car 🙃
Guy came with a big pickup with a lift gate, got to use the new forks on the Massey to bring up the backs and move the non-running one to the truck.
The forks worked great, the space in my driveway is finally back.
Cost to me $0, to the guy who picked it up $0

I got so many quotes for $600-$700 to dispose of these, advertised for free and gone same day

Son had friends stay overnight, I think each of them brought a car, Driveway full :)

Cedar beach, yes I've been there , brings back memories of my teens, Port Jefferson and area quite nice.

Alligator in Bristol, PA. Someone dumping off a pet, heard they are getting it moved to Florida to a real home.

Welcome back Riptides, was hoping things would work out for you, a lot to process. Hope it's all getting better.

Off to spray the stiltgrass as it seems the kids are up and out. Think they are going on a friends boat today.

Be well,

Coffee is cooling in cup. 67° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 88° with mostly sunny skies. Spent some time in shop. Seem to be cooler in shop with metal roof on it. Will be in there working of some little projects. Front yard needs to have grass cut again. Hope to get at that today before it gets too hot.
August Sturgeon Full Moon.

Don, hope wife’s test is neg this morning.
It was negative! Now she is going with a false positive test since one was positive and 3 negative. She thinks she has a 9 day cold - on day 6 now. Whatever it is I did not catch it, yet.

Good morning! started off at 75˚F now 85˚ heading to the upper 90s, S wind clear skies. Just got through with watering plants. Not much on the agenda - too hot. Water volleyball this afternoon.

Likely due to plastic tube weakening from UV exposure
Poly manufactures readily make and sell UV stabilized plastics. Seaboard for example. I'd guess some engineer missed a mechanical detail.

70°F and .17 inches rain.

Gonna watch my friend compete in masters swim meet again this morning.

Fixed the fwd drive shaft on Sophie’s BX. Forgot that you can’t drive over that deck without 4wd. But I have figured out how to remove the deck, just a real PITA.

Back to mowing with my LS

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

84F and sunny @ 12:00, supposedly calling for a high of only 85F … I’ll bet we beat that.

No mowing done yesterday.

Spent almost all day working on spreading out the mulch around arborvitae. Woman assisted.

Got the first 5 pretty much all done.

Those all got watered and fed as well, with 4 gallons each and Schultz’s 20-20-20 at 1/2 strength.

Also watered some hosta that were growing at the base of the large oak.

Several more bucket loads of mulch brought down and dumped, while hauling up debris to the compost pile on the way up to get the mulch.

Cut up a large branch that had come down in the west planting bed and hauled that up to the brush pile.

Also cut down a 20’ tall ash that had grown up through the Magnolia tree and hauled that up to the brush pile.

Wow … what a difference that made.

Pulled the long garden hose over towards the west side and coiled the excess at the base of the maple tree at the southwest corner of the house.

Moved tall step ladder over to west side.

Sprayed the edge of the west planting bed and several other areas.

Nearly ready to start seeding some of the area I cleared in the west woods with grass.

Couple of items still left to do:

Cut off some lower limbs on a couple of maple trees with the Stihl pole saw to let in a little more light.

Mulch around those trees.

Repairs on a couple of other garden hoses.

Move watering rigs over and test them to make sure they are operational.

Some of that likely to be on agenda for today.

Probably hold off on mowing until tomorrow when the high is supposed to be 89F.

Hope everyone is having a decent Saturday …
