Got hopper feeder refilled first thing yesterday, also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

Friend stopped by and dropped off some parts he needed verified and some others that needed welded. Sent him home with a couple of cukes.

Cut down 4 low-hanging limbs on a couple of maples to let in a little more morning light on the west side yesterday:

This involved using the Stihl pole saw - at full extension - and the tall step ladder … something I’m not really a fan of.

Got them all cut up with The Woman’s assistance.

Piled them on the loader and made 3 trips up to the brush pile.

Still have some more limbs to trim off ... but it’s going to require the 27’ aluminum extension ladder.

Might use the battery-powered chainsaw for that. Liking that thing more all the time.

Brought down another 2 bucket loads of mulch and a bucket load of screened compost on the return trips.

Got another mis-delivered Hello Fresh package here that was supposed to go to our new neighbor. Texted her and let her know I was bringing it up and would set it by the garage door.

Didn’t hear anything back from her until much later when she texted and said they are sending just way too much food for her (she’s a widow, living alone) and wanted to know if we’d like to have it.

We had Hello Fresh previously and The Woman really liked it. So after checking with The Woman I told the neighbor that yeah we’d be happy to take it off her hands and I would be up to get it in a few after I finished dinner.

Ran up and got that collected and put away just as Woman heading out to another free concert with the other neighbor lady/friend.

Collected some items that needed to be put away for the night and moved Kubota and Cub over by the garden to keep the critters at bay.

Then checked the plants to see what was ready to be picked. Had to use the flashlight on my phone for the zucchini and cukes as it was getting dark.

Came away with 1 okra and 1 cuke … plus another 9 lbs 8+ oz of summer squash:

Agenda for today:

Dole out meds for this coming week.

Trip to Menards to pick up paper goods and maybe a new water bath canner for The Woman.

Stop by market to pick up some fresh garlic.

Then probably spend rest of the day working on preserving food and making pickles.

Might sneak outside and do some watering later.

Always mow grass at 4 in sometimes twice behind pond. Do not use Scott’s use commercial grade fertilizer VT recommend grass seed good success

Good afternoon fellas. 100° out again.

Picked up little man this morning and took him to church. Service was good as usual and visited with some friends.

Message was about identity crisis. Paster talked about getting cut off in one of the roundabouts in town.

Said for a couple minutes he forgot he was a paster talked about the not so proud reaction

Went to Texas Road house for lunch and then took the little man home. He's really good for the soul

Picked up a few groceries, then came home and finished going through and paying my wife's doctor bills.

Hibernating inside in the AC. Will take the pooches for a walk around 4:30 just before they get their dinner.

Taco Salad tonight for dinner.

Good morning.
It's been a wild ride......
First off, good news on Dona's condition.... but not "official" yet. The results from her PET scan this past week shows "resolution of previously reported abnormalities" ---- very good news for sure. Unfortunately, there is still something shown in the area of her sacrum. They aren't saying it's cancer, but it is 'unknown origin'. It all won't be official until the meeting with her oncologist in a couple weeks.

Bad news is her back pain has gotten worse. Hopefully she will get an "all clear" from oncology and can get to see a back specialist. There is a referral already in place.

Dona is very happy that her hair has grown back in. I told her I was hoping that it would come back blonde.... I nearly got slapped for that one. A slap that I would gladly accept.... I am simply grateful that our prayers were answered and I will still have her for at least a little bit longer... (hopefully a lot longer).

Lots of other stuff going on too, will start to catch up over the next few days.

We had 95-100° every day this past week. Tough to deal with anything outside. Weeds sure like the temps..... they are growing crazy! Considering that I haven't tamed them in over 2 months.... well lets just say it looks like a jungle....
Dona is the priority, so the weeds will either die off by themselves or I might get around to wacking them......

And.... out of the blue.... Dona gave a suggestion for a big project.... then gave a "green light" to start it. A new shop / garage. A hybrid combination of steel building and wood pole barn.
I've been working on the foundation for the past couple of weeks. So far I've poured 18 yards of concrete so far, one yard at a time. I'm getting close to completion of the foundation.... only 6 more yards to go! (I am so done with concrete!)
(Whipping my arse for sure!)

I think Dona came up with this idea to get me out of her hair.... and to try and get me out of the bad mental state I allowed myself to get into....

Good morning getting things done,afternoon I fluff off because of 3 H's.

Mrs. boss call her this morning asking if I be interested working this week doing quality control for his company since 3H's hanging around all week which will hamper my zip I said I'll give it shot could be interesting...out the door 4m this week.
Plans for the evening...dinner shortly, Splish splash bath,maybe half cigar waiting for critters to show but early pillow time.

Good Afternoon! 98˚F heat index of only 105˚ sunny skies variable wind.
Wife is well and I did not get what ever it was, according to her low fever (100˚) most likely a bad sinus infection (not a flu) since I did not catch it.

Put 20 minutes of water in the pool so surface bot would not get stuck on the top stair of the pool.
Pool temp today is the warmest of the summer at 91˚. 18 people at the amenity center water volleyball yesterday. New rule no more than 9 people on a team. If more show up we rotate teams in and out. After 2 hours we won 4 of the 5 games.

My power pole pruners has been delayed because they are out of stock- too hot to work anyways.

Daily watering.
Hoping for rain Tuesday, 20% chance.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.4C and it's presently 15.4C, partly cloudy & fairly calm. There was 3.2mm in the gauge @0900.

Another lovely Winter's (for N.E. Tassie) day ahead. Nothing planned.

I got the golf cart batteries filled with distilled water.
4 of the 6 batteries showing neg voltage. I was able to charge 2 batteries some, but the charger objects to the negative ones. Charging the two individual positive batteries further drove the negative batteries down. I read that series batteries can do that, if a strong battery is in series with weak batteries, the stronger battery discharging can drive a weak battery negative. Looks like I'll have to buy batteries.

good worship today, and good lunch at our normal place, which will be closed the next 2 weeks as Tony the owner will be vacationing back in Italy.
