Good morning!!!!

74.4F and overcast/cloudy @ 09:30 with chance of showers or a thunderstorm this afternoon. Calling for a high of only 79F … which will be a welcome relief.

But short-lived: back to the mid-80’s tomorrow and high 80’s in a couple of days.

Woken up around 03:30 by strong thunderstorm off in the distance. Never heard any rain on the roof.

A Special Weather Statement was issued but don’t know what it said as I didn’t look at the time and it has since expired and is no longer available.

We did get some rain overnight but I haven’t bothered to look at the gauge to see how much. I’m sure it’s less than we could use.

Yeah … gauge pretty much shows nothing.

We were currently short by about 2.5” before whatever we got last night.

Spent the rest of the afternoon/evening watering and fertilizing in the garden.

Got kohlrabi, eggplant, Sunny Boy tomatoes, burpless cukes, and most of the sweet bell peppers done, 32 oz each.

Did feel a couple drops from a passing cloud while I was doing that.

Friend and his wife stopped by to pick up his project/parts. They got a little mini-tour of the garden, both seemed impressed.

Probably work on finishing up watering today, then work on processing summer squash for the freezer if/when rain materializes.

Woman suggested breaking out the Cuisinart food processor to shred the squash which sure sounds better than using the hand grater.

Need to get a few bill payments scheduled.

Beyond that see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday …

69°F and .08 inches rain.

Long day yesterday, made longer by own inattention.
Get to brewery on way home, prepared to pick up new keg after enjoying a nice lunch and can’t find my wallet/phone. Watch shows it not connected. My friend, Dwayne asks description, says I think in may have been in the shopping cart. A call to Costco confirmed. Hour drive back to Costco, retrieve, another hour back to brewery to complete business.

Finally get home shortly after 6 to learn all three dogs have been gone most of the afternoon, with Makani only recently returning. Of course Sophie has no idea how they possibly got out. Eufy cam to rescue. Approx 1:15 the gate opens and out they go. Sophie had been mowing the old garden area next to the drive and unbeknownst to her triggered the drive gate sensor. Lesson learned, hopefully.

Rest of day uneventful
Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

that sounds like way too much excitement for one day David, glad you got everyone home.

tried to get an xray at local hospital but after driving through enormous parking lot with every place filled
I came home. There is a secondary location, a wellness center, I can go to for a walk in xray and nice lady said if I came at 3pm I'd
breeze on through. And they have a nice parking lot with lots of parking right near the door.

so, off to get an xray this afternoon, which will show only that I need an MR to accomplish anything.
Interesting the doc also gave me a scrip for a lumbar MR, because I told him from literally decades of experience
that was only thing what worked. Challenge is I need an open mri and not many of them around, likely have to go to Willow Grove.
so will wind up with three imaging events, only two of which are needed but one is initial hoop to jump to qualify for expensive scan.
inconvenient but understandable considering one scan costs more than I pay for health insurance in an entire year.

and I'm getting another total body scan for my oncologist in November, thankfully only a CT. Those machines are not as confining and the
scan costs less apparently.

this is no surprise therefore:
In the United States, the average salary for a radiologist is around $498,000 per year

The tire rotate and balance was indeed free, nice shop and professional service
The end result is to get 0 ounces of weights to be added on either side as shown on the screen
Ran very smooth on way home so was needed without really realizing it
Tread depth was as new so not much wear on the first 9000 miles after installation

Dad taken to ER, hasn't eaten in 2 days and very weak. Hospital says his vitals are good though.
Hope this is just a bump, at least he is at the hospital and not still at home, so he can be checked.
How is he conversationally?
