117 volts as PECO tries to keep up on a very hot and humid day here

one of the high end stereo gurus says to get really good sound you need a power conditioner on the AC line
to your equipment.
2000 Watts for ten grand.
if you want your power clean, really, really clean, guess this is what it costs.
bit of an overspec for 99 percent of us I think
but if I had spent a couple hundred grand on a high end stereo, I wouldn't turn on without one of these.

d - that plug in Vac display - how long have you had it ?

High-end audio.... very deep/expensive rabbit-hole, for sure. My wife's uncle used to subscribe to one of the audiophile print magazines. I enjoyed reading through those mags, but was looking @ very much Out-of-my-pay-grade toys.... The native vocabulary reminded me of people working @ describing wine-tasting.

I'm probably going to pick up that first box that subh described, with 2 output receptacles. Delivers good long-term performance, from a legit company, at a price point I can live with. Part of my interest comes from reading through the Amazon reviews. Some people noticed better streaming experiences with video feeds, using those boxes. I don't have access to a Power Quality Analyzer, so can't be sure how clean my residential power is. I don't experience the frequent outages that subh does, so until this recent discussion hadn't spent a lot of mental ergs on these products....

so far none of these have burned out/expired; have had half a dozen over the years
on the farm had several in the house, one in barn shop which had my woodworking tools.
wanted to see drop in voltage at turn on for various things, including a portable a/c unit.

Ordered those DM55-1 just now. Can't Remember When I've seen a product same price in CAD as USD.... so had to order, before that changed.....

Was a bit confused (doesn't take much) when trying to combine that $14.99 product with a $21 book I wanted, to clear $35. Turns out, I didn't have to..... Total order $14.99, with No Shipping charge.

Slow shipping (I'm OK with that), and I may pay our VAT once it lands, TBD. Perhaps the big A is trying to compete with Ali Express - not my thing so far, but I know plenty of people ordering cheap electronics there....

I was still in college, and first saw the strong utility of pairing diesel gens and batteries while working a Summer job. They were a different scale than yours, as they were targeted for very remote sites in Africa, as essentially prime power. The bigger ones were housed in what looked like a sea-can, but on steroids.

You took a lot of care in building up your domestic system, and it is also reflected in the detailed tests you have posted here. The efficiency of your setup gives you very long run times, on not much fuel. Doesn't get much better than that.....

That some/much of that system is outside your normal work-range, is commendable.

I think the reason the PS Audio product is so expensive is that is is active, not passive. It will correct low voltage, not just alarm on it.
so they call it a power regenerator. It generates 2kw of sine wave power, not just filtering another source and done not by battery power like an inverter. Yes I believe as one of my friends has said this is the audio equivalent of cork sniffers in the wine world...

I have two of the CyberPower 1500 VA units, a new one on my wifes work computer and a several year old model on my router/modem wifi and switch setup.
I'd like to get a bit more battery for my old one but it does about 45 minutes after a power outage. Of course with this new mesh router system only the main unit is ups powered
