So today my wipers finally failed. Sill no parts or resolution from Ford given to dealer. For a recall from February.
have an appointment at dealer Thursday to see if they can do anything.
I'm gunna try and keep my cool until they look at it. Not gunna like me if it isn't fixed this week.

Maybe, but my friends 2021 also failed.
I just called Ford Canada again and pretty much the same answer.....lack of care and we have no resolution.
Worse part is, I can't even be mad at Ford because ALL of them are junk now. Every brand. And all the dealerships in my town are equally as useless.

Well I'm happy to report my dealer didn't screw me this time! But I went in armed, LOL I had my extended warranty papers with everything about the wiper system covered highlighted in yellow and I told them right up front "I can fix it in 15 minutes and full linkage kit is available at Canadian Tire for $105.00"
So There was no charge! LOL
It was the recall issue. A couple of the joints were seized. So the linkage was replaced. Problem is, since there is no solution or updated parts from Ford, it will likely fail again by the time my warranty runs out. Might be one of those seasonal maintenance thing I have to do now....pop the plastic cover off the cowl and spray the parts with penetrating oil.

So while the parts cost at Canadian Tire are $105 for linkage kit (before taxes) and this job can be done in your driveway in 15 minutes or so, here is the breakdown from what Ford charges here in Canada.
Arm and Pivot $193.95
Shaft $159.95
Labor $159.95
My truck was in and out in 15 minutes.

I just had to put my wiper arms back on in correct position when I got home, LOL

It's the complexity of vehicles and inspection requirements that is the downfall.
Three instances have hit me with failed inspections on things that didn't matter to me.
1) 2009 VW - Turn signal blinker on the mirror AS WELL as under the taillight. The blinker under the mirror went out, car failed inspection. I did not need or request that blasted blinker, I WOULD NOT have paid for it if it was an option. Several hundred $$ to replace.

2) 2019 Ford Escape - Parking sensor on right side went out, failed inspection, estimated cost to replace $600, requires pulling bumper. Again, I didn't need it.

3) 2024 Ford F250 diesel SWB CC - Backup camera. Recalled due to moisture in lens. The whole DA$$ truck was fine. EXCEPT the blasted camera!

Bells and whistles might be nice but if they fail I can do without them.

Paystar, I have a 2020 F150 as well and have received the same recall notice. I live in Eastern Ontario and have a Canadian Tire 5 minutes from my door.
Any chance you could post the Canadian Tire part numbers required ?
I would be interested in having them handy in case mine needs repair before they actually do the recall.
