Fuel was leaking from the bushing on top of the end plate, so i took apart and removed copper fuel line.

1st question: can I just go to my local hose shop and get rubber hose made that fitts on the fuel filter and fits inside the bushing?

2nd question: I took the end plate off and took the guts out. Cant find any online info that matches what I found inside mine. Only had a cap (smaller on one side than the other like a top hat), small spring, and larger spring that fitts over top hat and extends almost to the bushing. Are parts missing? Do I need to buy a reduild kit for the end cap, replace the end cap?

Any help is very appreciated!

Welcome to TBN!

The part (bushing/tophat) attached to the line in the bottom of your 3rd picture is what holds tension and the parts in the end plate to regulate the low pressure fuel.

You can use standard fuel line, but the leak at the bushing is most likely a missing or damaged oring or copper washer. On Fords with this pump, an oring, #26 in parts illustration, is used of Duro 90 hardness, meaning it is pretty stiff. Another picture of the pump blowup showing the regulator guts

Thanks!
The top hot I was referring to was the center of first pic. I see it goes small end down and the large spring sits on top. What purpose is the smaller spring? Just want to make sure I reassemble correctly. Do you think I’m missing some components?
