Tractor
Kubota BX 2200
The tractor will "almost start" will puff smoke out of the front exhaust, will crank and "almost" fire all the way. I have a little over 1000 hours on it and it is about 20 years old.

1) I checked the fuel(it is coming out fine when I turn the key) fuel filters seem ok.
2) Air filter is ok
3) Start Stop solonoid is ok(that would just click and I've replaced that)
4) Battery is full on charged(it is new)
5) Starter seems fine(but maybe that is the problem?)

I want to say next is glo-plugs but it's in the 70's and maybe it is maybe not?

Wanted to get some thoughts I haven't ever replaced the glo plugs but it hasn't been that cold(but maybe I'm totally wrong on this one).

Anything else I can check or do? I wasn't going to just throw parts at it but before getting the dealer to do the pickup($$$$) all by itself may be worth it.

Sounds like you have air and fuel.

How old is your battery, maybe it is just tired and cant spin the engine fast enough?

I actually replaced that first(it's in good shape right now). I thought that was the problem because it was 5 years old.

I had done that

I've loosened the nut and while starting I don't see any air just flows out.
Don’t just try starting after opening the bleeder screw on top of fuel filter.

Typically need to do this if machine has been run out of fuel or if it has not been run for an extended period of time.

Modern Kubota BX models, including the BX2200, typically have a self-priming electric fuel pump. If you run out of fuel, follow these steps:
  1. Refill the fuel tank. Add a sufficient amount of fresh, clean diesel fuel.
  2. Turn the key to the "On" position for about 30 seconds. Do not crank the engine yet. You should hear the electric fuel pump working to circulate fuel and purge air from the lines.
  3. Start the engine and let it run for about 30 seconds. It may run a bit rough at first, but it should smooth out as the last of the air is pushed through.
If the tractor still won't start after using the self-priming pump:
  1. Loosen the bleeder screw on top of the fuel filter housing.
  2. Turn the key to the "On" position until clean, bubble-free fuel flows out of the bleeder.
  3. Tighten the bleeder screw.
  4. If it still doesn't start, you may need to loosen the injector lines at the injectors themselves. Crank the engine until fuel sputters from each line, then retighten them.

I'll give a few of those a try, I didn't run out of fuel just checked things out.. but maybe something.. should I turn it past the glo plug piece? I assume yes.

I did give that a shot, I did hear the glo-plug clicking but not sure about the electirc fuel pump.. i did "smell something like something was burning(ish)"

Is a 20 year old tractor considered "modern" ????

Make sure the compression release lever releases the compression release.
