For some reason it seems that working on Sundays was often counter productive. Things broke or got broken, or just didn't go right.
But at times it had to be done.

Wouldn’t mind having a platform scale for the smaller ones-every once in a while you get a skeptic. It’d be fun to shut them up.
Not as easy to use, but more versatile. I have a Crane Scale.
Here it is with a 5x6 round bale:

And a lighter one:

A loader scale is on my short list of upgrades this winter.

Some field mowing this morning. Monthly customer. Did it while cloudy & morning dew.

Then some afternoon baling.

Here’s one of my well marked mower destroying granite boulders.

A red-headed woodpecker nestled in the grass. The guy didn’t want to fly away.

It was one of those days that you could bale till sunset.
So I did.

Rain today. Perfect for some hay trucking

….and hay cutting.

I love the occassional wet weather for keeping chaff off the hood intakes and radiators.

I'm assuming that wet mowed "hay" is for your mushroom hay. Seems like it would be hard to get dry with all that moisture and on wet ground.
Yes
Although Ive made some great feed hay with rain before
This stuff has foxtail in it so it's going to be mulch hay.

Some more dreary weather today. I still have ways to go.
Down this steep trail first into a creepy old hollow to mow a field.

This is one of those fields where it feels like there might be a body dumped from a murder hit.

Because it was……
There was a double homicide and the bodies were found here back in the 70’s. You get the creeps down here.
Beautiful, but spooky.

Now up by the pond. More rain coming.
