IS anyone out there familiar with the Jacobsen TurfCat 628D?? I have a pressure leak at what I assume is a return line to the hydraulic reservoir. I don't know if the fitting is bad or there is suddenly increased pressure?? The fitting itself is a steel barbed fitting with the 3/8" hose secured with a hose clamp. The steel fitting is pressed into a bushing which is then pressed into the plastic reservoir. With the hose removed I can rotate the fitting in the bushing (normal??) but cannot easily pull it free.

Now comes the real question. The 3/8" hose originates from what my manual calls a "deck valve". This square block valve receives (?) hoses from all 4 wheel motors and the deck motor. When pressure is applied to the motors, ie move the mower, the fitting will spray fluid 10 feet. Stop mower and leak stops. In my very hydraulic ignorant opinion it seem to me that this type of pressed in fitting would no be used for a pressurized line??

Not familiar with turfcat but what you are describing sounds like a case drain line from the motors. getting excess flow in this line would point towards one or more of the motors is starting to fail.

Looking at the hydraulic schematic it is a case drain line. make sense once someone who knows what they are talking about explains things. Thank you so much for the input. Now to figure out which motor(s) is the culprit. Thanks again

Not real neat but if you can isolate each case line from each motor and let them drain into a bucket you should be able to tell which one is leaking the most.

Spraying that much it should be obvious but if not careful you might take an unexpected oil bath.
