Getting some wood split for the '27/'28 heating season, God-willing.
Wow, whenever I cut firewood, it is usually in the spring for the next year. It dries out really good during our hot summers! I give it away, but haven't had any of the widows i give it to complain that it isn't dry enough!Getting some wood split for the '27/'28 heating season, God-willing.

Beech makes great firewood. BTU content is higher than Red Oak, significantly higher than Red Maple, almost as high as Sugar Maple.Are you burning Beech there? I have beech but nothing dead. Have never burned it. How is it for firewood?
Thanks. My Dad built that in 1968. He would be astounded to know that I'm still using it on and off road in 2025. The spindles and wheels are from a 1959 Morris Minor.Nice old-school 4x8 trailer there
