Well, I have not been around much lately so I'm just stopping by to say hi! Had kind of a rough summer, got a few new scars. I had about 8 weeks I was restricted to picking up not more than 5 pounds, for reference a gallon of milk is about 8 pounds! Anyway, the doctors have released me from most restrictions and said I could play with my chainsaws again! So just a couple quick pics from today, can't do a lot but I'm working on it! Hi Hunt, Noticed you haven't been posting much but didn't know you'd been ill! Welcome back, take it slow and easy, and that front wheel seal shouldn't be that hard of a fix. I've never done one on a Kubota, but a seal's a seal. Welcome back!

So I know this is the tractors and wood IMG_5422.jpegthread but I am temporarily down a tractor! With the axle seal going out, and I have been having some trouble with it maintaining power sometimes while mowing I just decided to haul it to the dealer, should’ve done it a couple weeks ago when I couldn’t do much of anything anyhow. But oh well, it’ll be back soon I hope!
And thanks for the welcome back!

Paid another visit to Thorn City yesterday.

Chipped up another trailer load of brush and Hedge tree trimmings from fence line clearing.

I would like to take this opportunity to say that I hope whomever brought the Osage Orange tree over to the new world was taken at an early age by the fever.

Got to try out the new 4x4 feet mounted to the BX42 and they worked great. Kicking myself for not getting around to those earlier....

Since the Mule is set up for water tanker duty, I decided to use the Sabre to retrieve my trailer from the wood processing area. It is really handy to have a couple of lawn tractors sitting around for stuff like that.

That's probably it for fence line clearing for now because I'm sick of it... Next up will be removing a couple of dead Elms from the evaporation pond area.

When it comes to firewood there is nothing better for heat and burn time. Wrapping up for the season. Osage orange is my favorite to burn and actually glad we have a lot of it here. Now honey locust on the other hand............

I've got some trees with those type of thorns all over the tree also....what a hassle/problem to trim and keep shaped! I don't know if mine are called Osage Orange or not but they sure are a bugger to deal with!

I have other names for them, but dare not say in polite company.

You're in MO too! Too bad I didn't know you wanted it. I had a dumptruck load of BIG Hedge trunks hauled out of here a couple of years ago.

I have my share of Locust also.
