I biasedly agree. And Up until a about a decade ago there were working 100+ yr old 500+ ft lake freighters still operational under there own propulsion systems.

The David R Shanock has been a busy tug this season, hauling out barges full of dredge spoils and bringing back empty barges for the Dredge to fill. The get a little more visibility doing their work at the entrance to the Duluth Canal. I happened to be in the area as they were preparing to depart the dredge site figured I'd chase them a bit!
