Great lake boats, a good video

Where are they taking it? When we were there a few weeks ago, I also noticed they were taking it inland.

Over here in St. Joe, MI, they were dredging about the same area off of their piers, but they had mile+ long pipe dumping the sand on the beach for replenishment.

Seems like it could have "some" value if taken inland? Maybe to build overpasses and such?

Saturday was a "rail & sail" focus as a CN crew spotted ore cars for dumping at Dock 6 while the Edwin H. Gott loaded for Indiana Harbor. Later that morning a unique move of three locomotives rolled past the Gott headed to Rices Point (GN 400 and NP 3617 were headed to the railroad museum behind BNSF 1832).
