Annual tarantula migration is in full swing here in Nevada. Got this shot of this hairy monster crossing the road a couple days ago - about 3" overall in size.

Kids pick them up and make pets of them...they are even used as school mascots.

Bear's Ears yesterday morning. Looks like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is a camper van.

Not sure where you where you were shooting from to get that view of the Bears Ears. Don't recognize that at all. These two mesas on the horizon are the Bears Ears as I know them. Been there many times.

The road up onto Elk Ridge runs right between those "ears" and there's a sign there pointing at each "ear" with the elevation:

We were camped outside of the needles district of Canyonlands. Bear's ears is huge.

Won’t they bite you if you pick them up? Man that seems like it would really hurt!!
