My dad is 80 this month and up until a couple years ago he carried 2 five gallon buckets of water every day to his sheep -- about 150' (in the summer he would use a hose and fill up the water trough). after I bought a tractor/backhoe we put in a waterline to his barn. He constantly says, I wish I would have done that 40 years ago? He struggles to even walk now because of this self-inflicted torture (saving money). He was too cheap to put it in and now he's paying for it. Same thing for hauling the manure out. We kids helped each year. Finally this year we convinced him to widen the door for his tractor (that he also finally purchased a couple years ago.
I may be crazy but why wear yourself out just for a toplink adjustment? It's easy, it's cheap, and worth every penny in time, hassle, and wear on your body.
