As to names of water hauling in the west, in the wildland world, tankers fly and tenders roll. The 747 overhead is a "tanker" while the KW on the ground is a "tender".

I too love the L series and one day hope to have an L series dump.
Don’t know the correct terminology whether its pumper tanker or ladder. We just call them far trucks where Im from.

Not a joke. I have seen pumps overheated to the point of causing steam and and ultimately destroyed by not circulating water and pumping 150 PSI.
ALWAYS move water.
