Tractor chains for snow and ice advice

Can you add spacers where the fenders mount to the axle to increase clearance or does 3 point lever and other items go through the fenders making this a difficult option also.

Yes but with larger tires

My hill
One fender was bent upward already from a logging hack getting caught.
The other two pictures show what i am dealing with.

Like i said, the fender is getting bent up or cut if necessary.
That's mighty tight. The guidance I have seen calls for 2" of clearance. Looks like you have 1" at best.

Yeah, nice idea but I don’t think it will work. Will look closer tomorrow.

That's probably the best way to do it, rather than bending the crap out of fenders to make room.
Hazard lights mounted, taillights integrated, and FEL control mounted on it as well.
Plus my cup holder…what am I going to do without my Irish coffee😜

I just run simple 2-link ladder bar chains, but even with the tight fender clearance on my 3033R, never an issue with spring or rubber bungie tensioners installed. Chains stay tight with a tensioner!

Moreover, as you run the tire around the first few times, and the chains "seat in", the spring tensioner takes up any slack and makes the overall set even tighter and less likely to walk around.

Have you considered just running chains on the front?

Little concerned about putting too much stress on the FWDA.
Plus, on that hill, unless I have a log in the grapple for weight, the front tires don’t have a lot of weight to grip in the first place.
I will consider front chains too if the rear chains don’t do the job.
