Ct 230 won't stay running

Have you checked voltage at the solenoid with the key still on when it does this just to confirm whether voltage is getting there or not?

Yep, I really appreciate your help. I'm just stumped. About the only thing I haven't replaced is the preheater relay. That really shouldn't have anything to do with it. But stranger things have happened I guess.

Ok, so you are not getting voltage to the solenoid when this happens until you turn the key off and then back on again. That would almost indicate the ignition switch could be at fault. Or operation control unit.

This is the "Interlock Control Unit", which is specific to Bobcat, not Kioti, I believe. Photo is from my CT230 that I bought new in 2010.

What does the service manual say?

It seems like something is heating up and kicking the solenoid out. It runs, kicks out, then I reset the key and it'll do it again. Runs for about average 30 seconds and kicks out. I suppose the new solenoid could be bad, but doesn't seem likely.

Have u tried “hot wiring” the solenoid.??
Run a positive wire from the battery to the solenoid and see if it stays running..

I haven't tried that. I have concerns about frying other electrical components. I didn't get a chance to look at the interlock controller yet either.

U r correct in being Leary, I didn’t read the whole thread..
If the solenoid is a 1 wire solenoid it’ll b fine.. if it’s a 3 wire, don’t do it..
