Good morning!!!!

Ken, growing up we used to have family picnics on Rockwood Farm and invite the remaining NJ side of family.
Oldest guy I think was grandfather's brother. He arrived in a deep burgundy Mark II Vandenplas, with saddle leather interior,
big Smiths gauges and of course the tray tables in the back and two inch thick carpets. For a kid growing up in an econo Chevy world, this was like
the Martians had arrived. I'd sit in the back of that leather seat and had to be careful not to leave finger prints.
I was smart enough not to fool with the buttons. Real wire wheels too. The smell was wonderful, so many dead cows.
this is close

Edit: Sorry folks, apparently I'm not allowed to talk about the wireless hole puncher show I'm headed to on Saturday. I'll make note of that for next time. :)

don't back off, keep saying it.

I'm still trying to come up with a different way to refer to my IR heat "probe".

2 1/2 hours of rv scrubbing and rubbing, using Meguiers wash and wax put on thickly, scrub it on, hose it off,
rub it dry. lot of scrubbing and rubbing but its done.

replacement cover for rv fridge roof vent came in, thankfully I ordered the right one.
now to find a young person willing to go up on my roof
I put a heavy coat of 303 protectant on the new piece, fairly flimsy actually.
will need to back out those screws, reuse them, and then fill the holes with caulk which I have
plenty of.

earlier it was like a Hitchcock novel.
thousands of big black birds descended on lawn and rear woods.
Made a huge amount of noise and were stripping my bird feeders.
banged on the window.
nope.
went out to garage, got two metal can tops and went outside
and made a big clang
whoossshhhhhh flap flap flap flap
that sure worked

well I sure learned the wisdom in releasing the water pressure I thought had been released when
unscrewing the anode in my rv water heater, normal suburban one. It blasted me with compressed water from my face to my shorts,
covered in anode corrosion grit. Yuk.
Hosed out that area and ordered some replacement anodes.

Migration maybe?

We get a lot of flocking right as Fall sets in. The crows I find most annoying due to their calling. The black birds are kind of cool to watch as there are thousands in the air at a time. Always fascinating how they don't crash into each other.

Same birds were here 2 days ago, happens every year.
They are so loud people could hear them on my conference calls.

51F and cloudy @ 15:15, only calling for a high of 50F so we've beaten that. Low this morning was 39.7F. Steady rain moving in later.

Got that one stud trimmed down yesterday and installed along with a cross piece that spanned across 3 studs. Top of the cross piece is 74" off the floor which should be high enough to give good support to most of the drywall.

One electrical box installed and the wires routed down into it. Left the feed wire live, capping off the hot wire with a wirenut. Pretty sure I'm not going to leave the power on when I go to install the outlets.

Looking like I need to get another section of studs put up before I can install the second electrical box.

This was all complicated by the fact that I now seem to be experiencing a greater reaction to the shingles vaccine.

Left shoulder still not really hurting much ... unless I press on it. Muscle underneath the skin seems hard when I do. Also right side of neck is stiff and sore ... but not really sure if that is a reaction or just how I slept on it last night. Also was experiencing dizziness yesterday when I was up on the step ladder with my head bent back looking up into the joists.

Got some further work done on the Menards order, need to get that finished up and placed today, then run down and pick it up.

Woman brought home some goulash for dinner last night a friend had made, was very good ... (y)

Enough oak leaves have come down that I may take a stab at blowing those off the lawn over the next couple of days.

Hope everyone is having a decent TGIF ... (y)

my arm was a little sore but that's all

spent some time doing wash and cooking a variety of things.
had some new england clam chowder from local supermarket.

made a small two dinner meat loaf and that was good.

time to load some more new books into my Kindle.

When I got the shingles shot, the pharmacist told me if it started to hurt to drink a bottle of water as fast as I could, take two Tylenol and slam another bottle of water. It did, I did, and it worked within a half hour. YMMV
