Motel TVs. Why don't they pay for the cable package that gives an on screen menu of what the channels are and what is playing. I have yet to stay at a motel where the channel list was accurate.
A valid complaint, but perhaps a decade or two too late? Are you also unhappy with the lodging they supply for your horse? Did they not have fill water available for your Stanley Steam car? :ROFLMAO:

I'd bet it's been at least a dozen years since I've even turned on a TV in any hotel room. Much easier to have all my regular content available thru iPad, iPhone, or laptop computer.

I don't have a TV at home, don't bother with looking at them at the truck stop, or if I get stuck in a hotel either ...

Doug in SW IA
We only stay in motels that have a coin operated vibrator bed.

I'll admit that one of the perks of ataying in motels years ago was the novelty of having TV. The last time I tried to watch a movie though, I gave up. I don't recall much excpet that it was supposed to be a classic I had never seen and I was looking forward to watching it. The first 13 minutes included 4 minutes of commercials or some stupid number. I shut it off because if they were that bad in the beginning, toward the end it must have been 50% commercials or more.

Must have been on the FOX network.
Often I stay up to watch Jimmy Kimmel's monologue and Stephen Colbert.
In my area they are a half hour apart so I have aboot 15 minutes to kill between monologues.
I'll switch to Fox to see 2.5 men. They stack the commercials 7 minutes

Cards you are issued at hotels. Many now also control the entire power to the room, cause they want you to put them in the reader to power the room. But these also give access to the stairs and the elevators. So I have to always have to have my card. But there has to be a card in the reader or the power will go out. So I want go out for a bit, and then we have to hunt for the wife's card, so she will have lights, and power and stuff to recharge the laps and phones and cameras. But if she wants to leave, the room, for even 10minutes, the room turns off. So I ask the desk if we can have more cards? And yes they say, yes, here you are. So when we leave for the day out to do stuff, I take the extra card out and place it near the reader to save energy. And everyday, the room service took that card, and I would have to ask for another one. And after three times, I just asked for more cards straight up on re-entering the hotel, cause I knew the old ones were gone and no reason to go back down to the desk to get the extra cards. First world issues... :)

Cards for power and access in Europe, maybe a few decades ago.
Never found it too much of a bother.
Just get 2 cards so either of us can be in the room.
And by the way, most of those card holders in the room can be fooled with a piece of cardboard.

Auto headlights are fine as long as the driver makes sure they are in The auto position. Whether they get turned off by habit, knob moved when cleaning, dunno.
I agree, the problem I have with our Ford Edge, is that the lights dim at about 35 mph, they are designed that way. I guess the engineers don't drive at night on country roads with deer jumping out in front of them.

I will override the auto dimming and then I have to switch it back to manual and then auto for them to start working again. It's a PITA.

Ok, I am just reminded of this one; stopped dipping a few years ago, and switched to non tobacco, nicotine pouches. Sure, probably bad for you, but I like them, and something is gonna kill you, people like me dont die of old age...

My preferred brand is Rogue, Spearmint, 6 MG. My peeve, you open a can and 1/3 of the pouches are busted open, grit in the whole can. What's worse, you save money buying a whole roll, and 3 out of 5 cans are like that. Enough to make a preacher cuss
I use "ON" nicotine. Usually about $20 for 5 containers on sale at Murphy's gas station" I've never seen a "broken" one and I prefer the containers over others.
