most of the Christmas decorations in this area are tasteful.
many folks can afford to hire others to put up lights; there are signs all over
offering xmas decoration installation. Truly a full service economy.
there is one exception and going to have to stop and take a picture.
At the intersection of Aquetong Road (on which I was born) and Stoney Hill Road, on an
otherwise normal looking house on the corner, it's quite a sight.
There must be 500 inflatables on it, perhaps trying for some record. They are all jammed together on every
square foot of his property. it is so out of place, so excessive, so meaningless except for excess.
Christmas should not be about excess...
Ken when you go to Peddlers Village come up River Road and Aquetong and check it out.
There's one other large property about ten miles away near a local quarry that has hundreds of inflatables too, but
they are spread out. That place has been doing it a long time. I bet Engineer knows the place. Near Penns Park off 232.
but I saw this and just knew I had to have this for my front lawn
sent it to my neighbors across the street.
the more I put up, the more that old lady loves it.
but I put the 12 footer away for this winter and have a smaller setup this year out front next to the house.
Though...hmmm, if I put the big one up near my new wood fence, now that the rv isn't
there, it could look over the top of the fence and wave to all the neighbors going by. Plus the house right
there has two kids. Only downside is I have roses on that fence. Roses and inflatables
will not do well together. Sounds like something fun to do later today.
