If the loader is lifting by itself when running, you probably have a loose screw under the cap that is on the end of the offending spool. Remove the cap and there is a little screw, allen head I think, and it is a little loose. Tighten and replace the cap and all is well.
to me thats the kind of stuff this website is all about.

Are Mahindra loaders still outsourced? If so who makes them now? Seems like when I bought my 6000 the dealer said you might get a KMW loader and you might get a Great Bend.

I bought a 6500 With ML260 FEL this week. It has a Buhler FEL.

I took the ruuber cover off and there was no small screw or allen head screw to adjust. The lift works fine until the tractor runs for a few minutes then the lift starts to rise up.

I have been informed that Mahindra bought out KMW. I have a Great Bend loader on my 6000. Mahindra was using both in the beginning of their US market bid. They were buying so much stuff from KMW for their loaders they decided to buy them out. Thats what I have been told. Would explain why all thier stuff is KMW now.

Butch, it's not under the rubber cover, it is on the opposite end of the valve. It's a little hard to describe, but you will see a pair of caps.

How do you know?

I was also informed that Mahindra is opening a delivery warehouse in Grove City Ohio. That should eliminate a large portion of the shipping charges for folks in the area.

I have a 4500 with a great bend loader and have bent and or broken 4 of the upper bucket tilt cylinders. Mahindra says it is impossible to do. I say it isn't!

Last week when it happened I was backdragging a shallow creek, pulling the mud and weeds out during a dry spell, when I heard a big crack and one of the cylinders arms had bent and cracked in half.

Has this happened to anyone else??

Miami,

First of all, welcome to TBN. On your loader issue, absent a faulty cylinder (which is rare), this is normally caused by having the bucket cylinders too far extended while back dragging. I bent my first one about 20 years ago on my dad's 60HP IH. I had the bucket at a severe angle and I was backdragging like mad. It sure worked great until I bent a ram. That cost me about $250, and that was a LOT of money back then. I'm more careful now. This problem is not brand specific, it's more of an operator thing.
