PRogress,

Valve and plumbing in, System works as desired!

I took photos while everything was exposed, but this morning my wife tried to move them.....vaporized

Here are some "make up shots" as things are going back together.

It's nice to have float on the boom, and the freed up aux ports will be a boon for the blade and york rake.

Sure does suck up the time. And I'm not realy happy with the "arches" for that pair of lines. might need to see what can be done to route them low like the other pair.

While the hard lines were out for painting, It looked like a congregation of snakes on the sheet of card board.

I got real lucky with a few of the bends in the 1/2 inch steel line, snaking through what I thought would be near impossible. There is really NO ROOM for much of anything to pass under or between things. Certainly some of the runs would not have fit rubber hose.

Now if I could just figure why the 3PH doesn't fall when the lever is in float and the engine off...... ;-)

I see your half lumber jack and half mechanic, great combo. So I take it you got this tractor used with no FEL then bought a after market one, then installed then plumed lines in, but wouldn't you rather have a single loader lever instead of three separate FEL controls if those are what they look like? Get some more pictures of it when you get a chance.

("Mitsubishi engines (or the Deutz air cooled)
4X3 mechanical transmission
Locking diff both rear and front axles
two speed PTO plus ground speed, mid PTO also
Compact size with good capacity. I hear they are popular in the orchards.")(

^^^^^I'm really liking that list, dont tell me your Hurlimann tractor has locking diff on front or all those pto options, ground speed would be great for a power driven trailer...........

The loader came on the second hand Hurlimann. Connected to the rear remotes. Connected with long hoses.

Yes, I'm working on a single lever mechanism for the LAMBORGHINI three spool directional control valve that was purchased for the Princely sum of $85 NEW with the PWB plug ;-)
I had to have it cause it was a Lambo......but I wish I would have fitted a control block with single lever for the loader. The third spool has gone unused so far.

Yes, the Prince 435 has ALL those PTO options and climbs like a billygoat with the front axle locked up (Hydrailic actuated with an electric solenoid , so "push button" on the dash. Pretty slick!)

Oh! The PTO clutch is LEVER actuated with the control lever just under the steering wheel. So completely independent from the foot clutch.

The only downside I've found on the machine is the smallish 11gpm hydraulics with a 4 gpm priority to the power steering. The loader operates quickly enough, though regen on the bucket dump would be nice.

Looks like your Hurlimann is just about on-par with my L3400, just wish I had locking front diff and ground speed pto. Kabota must not like the front diff lock idea, they still dont have it on their RTVs. So where do you get parts, oil filter etc? I couldn't find any dealers on this side of the Atlantic.

(L3400)
Capacity: 7.3 gal [27.6 L]
Valves: 0 to 3
Pump flow: 6.8 gpm [25.7 lpm]
Total flow: 10.9 gpm [41.3 lpm]
Steering flow: 4.1 gpm [15.5 lpm]

Filters come from the FLAPS under the WIX brand.

Have not needed any parts, though the rubber boots on the outer tie rods could be renewed. There are after market options there too.

The electrical timer that controls the fuel shut off gave up the ghost. It's over $450 to replace. I don't like those kinds of electro-majic niceities, so I've fitted a control rod to shut off the fuel. Just like the old days '=)
I might put in a momentary push button to reclaim some of the convenience, but I'm in no hurry,

There are /were a couple of dealers for the D-F path to parts. One up north here in VT. Another out in PA.

I can go with SAME, Or the D-F versions, but would need to do the leg work to get any critical part that may be required.

The basic tractor came in 25 35 45 and 55 HP all "pretty much the same running gear. Different engines and the high HP gets a turbo. IIRC the big engine also gets a longer wheel base.
Late model versions got a face lift and the steeply sloping hood that is popular now. That put the fuel tank behind the engine. Fueling my tractor is a pain, with the filler stuck under the hinge of the hood. Battery service is even worse. The loader needs to come off to put in a replacement.

These are really good machines. They made it so compact, that can be an absolute pain to work on. On the other hand, it's quite nice to have 55HP on a small frame compact tractor.

These new face lifted version came in several brands with minor changes between those, mostly just the engines.

-Mitsubishi engines from 25 to 55HP:

Same Solaris 25/35/45/55
Deutz-Fahr Agrokid 210/220/230
Hurlimann Prince 35/45/55
Lamborghini Runner 35/45/55

-Yanmar engines from 40 to 50HP:

Mccormick GM 40/45/50 - Updated to McCormick X2 20/30/35
New Holland TCE 40/45/50 - Updated to Boomer series made by LS
Valpadana Jupiter 40/45/50 - Updated to VP1545/VP1550/VP1555
Landini Mistral 40/45/50 - Updated to Series 2

I was thinking how rare and unheard of in my area of a compact tractor with diff lock on the front end, couldn't I ever use that on my tractor, and with a ground seed pto, the ones I see are at a set speed and at the rear only.

If I told you what I paid for this Hurlimann, It would make you cry..... ;-) less than 400 hours to boot.

They were 20k new , at least that is what tractordata suggests.

I looked up FLAPS , I'not sure you need one......

Ouch, $450.00, how much of that is shipping from Europe? hope I wont need that fuel shut-off thingy...."The good ole days...." This is what I remember from the good ole days, my father had something like this only it was a 46 Case and wasn't diesel>>8N tractor with half tracks Feb 215 - YouTube

Cant the fuel neck be extended through the hood? My L3400 is a 07 and the battery is still working and is easy to get to but if I had to take the loader mount off to service that, it would be the first and last time.

FLAPS= Friendly Local Auto Parts Store.

I priced the fuel shut off timer unit from an Eastern European supply. The price there was a shade over 400 Euro, then add shipping. That is pretty close to the $450 price from a midwest dealer. I guess the part is expensive. Supply and demand etc. I would have thought it would be available from Mitsubishi, but I've never come across a reference. Of course, Mitsubishi Industrial engine parts are not cheap nor easy to find either.

A big enough hole in the hood could be cut to provide access to the fuel tank cap.

But that might spoil the fine lines of such an Italian beauty......
