BX2660 transmission problem?

Doesn't your hydro go to by-pass when travel speed can't
be maintained and there's no wheel spin on the GC ?

I am not sure, I have never stalled it, but have bogged it down. It kind of acts like the parking brake is on.

Tried it in both low & hight gear.

I have a BX2660 and it's doing the exact same thing. If you let if sit for 2-3 hours it works ok for another 30-45 minutes and then acts up again.

Please post if the filter(s) worked for you!

I can't find the thread, but another member had a kink in his fuel line and another trash in his tank.

Sounds like the filter is the problem, however if it continues i would also check to make sure the breather for the tank is not clogged the best way to check this would be to wait for it to act up then crack the fuel cap and see if it goes away. Also you may have debris that is plugging the inlet inside the tank. This would also explain why it isn't a constant problem.

I had the same issue, except my 2660 would have this happen while going downhill. After talking with someone I know that has worked with tractors his whole life I changed the fuel filters and problem solved. He said water can become trapped in the filter...water moves around just the right way when on a hill and engine starts to choke. *shrug* Don't know if that's true or not, but changing fuel filter fixed the issue.

I would also suggest that you dump some deisel conditioner into the tank. I had intermittant power issues on my G1900, and some deisel fuel conditioner/ cleaner addditive clear it up in one tank.

Note my G1900 had over 1000 hours at that point, so there is more chance that there was accumulation on the injectors, but it is a cheap PM. I put some in all my fuel since then.

Sorry for not posting sooner. Busy building a house.
It was a dirty fuel filter, first one.
Replaced both filters and drained a bit of the fuel and that did the trick.

Thanks guys.
