We each have our own needs. There are other aluminum body cars as well like Audi. But there are downsides like insurance costs and long term fatigue cracks and corrosion. My older truck is a California truck that is 30 years old with 550k miles. No rust and not likely to have any.
Many jurisdictions only count sidewall surface area to achieve the square footage for a system. So a trench that is narrow is the least expensive. I used to argue with them about counting the ends when I was designing them.
The way I see it is if you’re knowledgeable and willing to work that’s the way to go. I have built 5 new houses for ourselves two without subs and three with Sheetrock subs, mainly because the ceiling was 18’ 6”. Sometimes it takes years but I don’t like their work quality (usually) and no house...
I built my first house in 1973. I have a hole Hawg But when I got the Timberwolf I used it more because of the better clearance it has. I haven’t lost control yet.
I don’t see any point in tearing things apart until you know the cylinder isn’t dried out. If oil in the cylinder doesn’t help then go from there. That’s the one place you can put some lubrication with minimal effort.
Try putting oil in through the spark plug hole, fogging oil if you have it. Then start with the spark plug out and try pulling it over and see if it gets any better.

California with all the world’s craziness they surcharge the building permit if you install gas plumbing. Yet they likely have the highest electricity rates plus tiers that make it higher yet. But they talk low cost housing? How? Politicians need mirrors to understand the problem.
A skid steer is not the most stable loader. A crawler loader is a very stable all purpose machine. I always got a lot work done with one machine like that. But they aren’t designed for very many attachments. Just depends on what type of work you do.
