    Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

I’ll be the bad guy with your wife if that’s what it takes for you to get a new tractor! I think you’ll like it. Quick attach is the standard Skid Steer type. All your standard stuff will fit. Let us know when you take delivery and what your impressions are.

    Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

I looked into that before I did my first service. I found that my local Mahindra dealer had all of them in stock for less than what I could find aftermarket. Maybe that’s changed but I think you might be surprised if you actually price everything out.

Slip clutches are nice. BUT just be aware that if you don’t free them up each spring, they have a tendency to become locked up due to normal corrosion between the clutch plates. When this happens, you essentially lose your protection because the clutch won’t slip if you hit something. So at the...

Some pictures of the diverter valve and the front hydraulics I added.

    Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

Thanks! There’s definitely a lot of good useful information contained in this thread. I’m really still very happy with my tractor. I added front hydraulics for my grapple and have been putting them to good use this spring.

I can’t say because I drained the fluid first. That’s kind of why I just did it all at the same time. I didn’t want a giant mess to clean up 😂

    Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

I just everything at 100 hrs. And while the strainer certainly wasn’t filled with metal shavings, it did have some debris in it. I brought it to work and put it in our ultrasonic cleaner for a half hour and there was a decent amount of small particles left in the cleaning solution afterwards...

    Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

Damon, the suction strainer is not difficult to remove. There’s 3 bolts IIRC that attach it to the side of the transmission housing and those come out easily. The only slightly tricky thing is sliding the rubber hose section forward past the joint in the steel suction pipe so that once you...

    Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

I wonder if there’s any more of them that we haven’t discovered yet? At any rate, I think it’s great that they went old school and put a ton of grease fittings on it. So much stuff today is just designed to be throw away and everything is “sealed”. I think being able to push new grease in, and...

    Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

Hey everyone. I am working on adding a second rear remote and in the process of working on the measurements for hoses to go to the back, I found another grease fitting that I hadn’t seen before and that isn’t in the manual. It’s on the pivot point for the PTO selector lever. Not the PTO clutch...

    Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

Call me crazy, but I actually enjoy doing my own service. It gives me a chance to get to know my tractor and see how everything is doing first hand. You learn a lot about something by getting your hands on it. At least I do. And it gives me the excuse to buy a few tools etc like a 17 mm hex...

    Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

Congratulations on the recent retirement! And congratulations on the new tractor and property! I think you’re going to enjoy all three. I believe the first service is at 50 hours. Engine oil change, lube etc. they also want you to change the hydraulic filter and clean the suction strainer at...

    Mahindra 5155 Anyone?

I can confirm that the tractor won’t fit under an 8’ door with the ROPS up. Ask me how I can confirm that 😂. So right now I have to fold it down when I put it away. I am in the planning stage for a dedicated shop at my place and it will definitely have 9’ doors. I’ve never measured the height...
