I went with Schaeffer’s Simplex Supreme. I use it in my little Yanmar and used it in my last Mahindra. It’s a synthetic blend so it’s easier on the hydraulic pump in cold weather and it makes it easier to shift when it’s cold too.

The published weight is not correct. I had mine weighed on a certified scale. The tractor, loader, and loaded rear R4 tires was 8,940 lbs without me on it. So you’re going to likely need a trailer rated for 12,000 lbs to haul it safely and legally. It’s a heavy machine! Hope this helps.

Well I spent last night doing prep work and all morning welding. The shanks are welded on and the teeth are installed. Just got the tools put away and the rain came so I can’t try them yet. But I think they’re really going to help in my rocky soil.

Those are the bolts that hold on the plastic PTO shaft cover that should have been on the tractor when you got it from the dealership. There are Nylock type nuts on there and you loosen them a little and give the cover a quarter turn and it comes off. Then those nuts stay there if you ever...

Used the tractor to help save my back cutting up firewood.

Installed a tee and an oil pressure gauge on the 1538. This way I kept the factory warning light but can now actually tell what the pressure is. Installed an old Harley gauge I had on the tee itself for now. Plan to come up with a way to mount a gauge so I can see it from the operator position...

Cut down some scrub trees and used the grapple to clean up the brush. Then mowed the area. No before picture but this area was just a grown up mess. Now I can keep it mowed and let the spruce trees that I planted as saplings a few years ago take advantage of the light they羆*e getting now.

Graded the driveway. Mostly box blade work but some back dragging with the loader up by the building

Finally got the brush hog finished today. Spent a couple hours trying it and the tractor out. Both worked very well. Have a lot of mowing to do hopefully next weekend if the weather cooperates.

Installed oil pressure gauge this morning. Nice to see what the engine is doing. Put in tee so I could keep the idiot light as well. This is pressure at about 1000 rpm warm.

Well I just joined the club. I drove 6 hours one way yesterday to pick up a 2210DB. Been wanting one for a while and the right deal finally came up. Here痴 a pic of it on the trailer on the way home.
