I guess I have three questions:
What gear and shuttle shift position should it be in when I check fluid?
Should it be running or not running when I check the fluid level?
If running, at what RPM?
My loader is staying up just fine(thankfully) I just have a lot of leaks at fittings along the hydraulics and I was wondering if there is a return control like that if it was cranked down to where it was building too much pressure. But if there is no return rate control then I guess I just have...
I picked up a used Hydro 86 earlier this year and because it's so old nothing has markings anymore on it for many of the levers etc. I have got most of it figured out but I was wondering where if anywhere the ability to control the hydraulic return flow is at? Many tractors have this hooked up...
Total scam. The folks I bought my truck from wanted cash because the week before they had some people show up and buy a 4-wheeler from them and these folks brought a cashiers check made out to the sellers and picked up the 4-wheeler (in Montana tractors and other offroad equipment isn't...
I would like to drain the hydraulic fluid from my Yanmar 3110D and refill it with a better hydraulic fluid for cold weather than what the rebuilder used. Also the fluid that is in it now has been heavily used over the last four or five years and I should be replacing it anyway.
How do I go...

Yes, sorry I didn't update my profile with where I am at but I am in NW Montana and I got the tractor from a refurb/restore place out of Idaho. I'll update my profile as soon as I figure out how to do so. I got the manual for the hydraulic joystick later on when I needed to fix it last year but...
I see that Hoye has filters on sale in a three pack that they say are exact spec match for this tractor. I will just bite the bullet on shipping and order that 3 pack of filters.
You said a flow rate in the mid-30s as in 30gpm? Which manual do I need to get where it can tell me what the filter microns should be and the flow rate? The two Wix replacement filters for that Fram say they are only 8-10gpm and 9-11gpm which makes me think that probably isn't the right filter...
From that post it looks like 10W-30 will work best for me. Is that correct? I don't run my tractor if it drops below 0F here and it won't be above 86F here until probably July of next year. Can I just go down to Napa and get Rotella diesel 10W-30 and call it good?
I found in another post on...
