I got a chance to test drive a New Holland CUT, and I gotta say that they are really awesome tractors. They are VERY well built and have great ergonomics. Easily as good as Kubota, Deere, Mahindra, etc. I am really considering getting a New Holland in the future.
I have about 10 acres of pasture to mow, and I am trying to decide which would be better attachments to own. Would I be better off with getting two attachments: rotary cutter and finish mower, or would I be better off just getting a flail mower? Basically I want the pasture to look like a nice...
At what PTO HP would a Caroni 5ft Flail be most powerful (without going overboard)? I am not concerned about mowing super fast because I know the ride can be bumpy and uncomfortable if you go too fast. But I don't want any chance of being stuck in too tall canary grass, or having to go super...
I was wondering who makes a better quality and more heavy duty flail mower, Caroni or BEFCO? I am comparing the Caroni 59" Flail mower to the BEFCO Hurricane H40 60" Flail mower. The BEFCO is nearly double the price of the Caroni.
And are the "Y" shaped blades the most heavy duty type?
Thanks.
I am thinking about getting a rotary cutter instead of a flail mower or finish mower, because I would like to be able to mow my acreage even if the grass grows really tall. I was thinking that maybe the best solution is a sharpened rotary cutter. How sharp should it be? and how short can it...
I am thinking about getting a Mahindra because of the exceptional quality and excellent price. Kubotas are great too, but Mahindra has such great prices. Anyways, which Mahindra would be best for a 5 foot flail mower? I dont need a FEL really, because I am just going to use the tractor for...
After going to the Kubota dealership and seeing the quality of their CUTs, I decided to get a Kubota instead of a John Deere. Deere CUTs are very nice also, but IMO it seemed that the Kubota CUTs were put together a little better with more heavy duty parts. Also, from what I have heard...
I was looking at the Kioti DK45SE HST tractor, and it seems like a great deal, but the closest dealer is 140 miles away. I don't have a truck big enough to haul a tractor of that size. So in that situation, if the tractor needed service or repair, what would I have to do?
Thanks
What would be the best 5ft rotary cutter for the JD 3320? And would the FEL need to on or off for the best ride while cutting with it? I will be cutting 9 acres of pasture with a lot of Reed Canary Grass on it. The soil is mostly clay.
Thanks.
I have about 9 acres of pasture I need to mow with a rotary cutter. There is a lot of reed canary grass on the property and clay soil. I know the 4000 series might be a little bigger than what I need, but stability is an important factor to me. I drove a 3203 once and it seemed a little...
I am thinking about fencing off about 9 acres of my land. I am thinking about doing a 6ft tall fence. The clay soil gets really wet in some spots during the fall/winter. Therefore, I would need to put concrete around the fence posts. What size post hole digger would I need? And could the JD...
I am trying to decide which size tractor would be better for 9 acres of pasture that I have to mow. I get a lot of tall reed canary grass on the land (if it's not mowed regularly) and that grass can grow up 6 feet tall and 1/2 inch thick. IMO, anything less than 35 PTO hp and a 5ft bush hog...
