Well the Husqvarna decided to pretty much rip the axle out of the tractor. It started to bend the structure upward for some reason, guessing the posi unit failed causing excessive strain. All the bolts are tight and accounted for.

I've been thinking on this route lately.......... I'm not opposed to this. At the moment we've got too many things to mow around that a finish mower is impractical for the job, a belly mower, zero turn, or garden tractor type unit is needed. No, I do not plan on build myself. That is good to...

Because that is a large chunk of change that spans half of my property against the road (300ft). With us selling this home in a year or two I don't think I'll see my investment back out of it.

Looks like I'll be going down the garden tractor route for now and buying a larger tractor once we have the home finished. At my current home I have a fair amount of mowing around obstacles as well as a hill that I have to mow, likely a Simplicity Prestige or JD 500 series that will handle all...

Im not worried about the unit lasting a week or two, just want to make sure dealer support will be there in 2040. I work in Oshkosh. The air show, as someone who works in Oshkosh, is miserable as traffic gets destroyed hahah. It does bring a lot of revenue into the city and is a great event to...

The only thing that concerns me with LS is the question of “will they be around in 20 years” type of thing. I want to have this unit for quite a long time. Obviously things like filters are easy, and with the 225S being Yanmar powered I don’t think there is an engine longevity concern.

How does LS, Mahindra, Bobcat, New Holland etc all compare? the LS MT225S seems like a well built tractor in the approximate size of the B2601.

Touche. What is the hate behind a MMM? While I would agree not ideal for large mowing jobs like a pasture or something like a ditch but for a typical "yard" it would be hard to beat. Yeah, SSQA is a must.

At this point I'm leaning toward the B2601. The thing I don't know is how big of a pain it is to add the loader after initial purchase, IE if I buy the B2601/MMM/blower now and say pick up the loader in the spring or in a year etc if that is a life changing ordeal to do after the unit is built.

That's what initially sent me toward the JD 1025R/Kubota BX2680 but from what I've gathered in this thread, the B2601 isn't much larger but is a much more capable unit.

I could but I also am not going to spend the kind of money a K66 retrofit kit costs on this tractor. It was free from my parents when we bought our house (it gave them a bunch of issues with the K46). That is true, the delta between a X758 to a JD 1025R or BX series is very very minimal. The...

I'm starting to wonder if I would be best served by a Simplicity Prestige, Simplicity Legacy XL, JD X500 series, or JD X700 series for mowing/snow blowing the paved driveway and get a larger tractor for tractor duties............... The need is stemming from my current Husqvarna having a K46...

Realistically I think a B2601/JD 2025R or LS (IDK what series, 225S?) would be ideal for my usages. Once the home is built/driveway is paved (I would like to avoid gravel) I don't expect to be doing much. Sure, if a tree comes down then yes, I'll have to clean it up with say a grapple (I'll be...

My apologies. I am in Wisconsin. The properly is not overly hilly, nothing that a garden tractor couldn't maneuver. I also am not trying to maintain 15 open acres, our intent is to leave ~10 wooded. The main usage will be misc projects, snow removal, and mowing. General land scaping to save...

Guess I know the route I'm going. Overkill on my 1.2 acre lawn but when I buy a new mower here I'd rather buy once cry once.
