    Tractor Horsepower for Chipper/Shredder

Thanks for the replies. The drive shaft does have a sheer bolt. I was wrong about the manufacturer's upper hp limit. It's actually 35 not 30. When I contacted the manufacturer they said I should use their heavier duty chipper/shredder. After thinking about it though I couldn't come up with...

    Tractor Horsepower for Chipper/Shredder

I'm looking to purchase a used chipper/shredder that has a maximum tractor engine horsepower rating of 30. My compact tractor has a 40 hp engine. I can see the need for a minimum horsepower rating but don't understand why exceeding the maximum would be a problem. What problem would there be...

    Bobcat compact tractor attachments

I recently purchased a Bobcat CT2040 tractor and have on order a 3-point quick disconnect, 72" box blade and 84" angle blade. The dealer has no clue when I will receive the attachments. How long are you waiting for ordered attachments"

Loader lowering and curling at the same time?

I tried what Stan B suggested and it works the way he stated. Thanks Stan B! I just need to get use to controls on this tractor.

Loader lowering and curling at the same time?

I'll give that a try. The tractor is new to me and I was only using it a short time yesterday.

Loader lowering and curling at the same time?

I don't know if this describes it correctly but the loader on my new Bobcat CT2040 doesn't lower and curl at the same time. I'm certain my previous John Deere 855 did. Aren't all compact tractors capable of this? If not and mine isn't capable of it is there some way of retrofitting this feature?

    Shows featuring compact tractors?

NW Arizona - I believe most if not all of the shows are in the Midwest or further east. We will be traveling to Illinois in a few months and was hoping to attend a show along the way. It would be fun to see a good assortment of compact tractors in one location. I've yet to see anything...

What home shows, farm and equipment shows, etc have a good amount of compact tractors?

    5' or 6' Box Blade

I ended up getting the 6' box blade and 7' angle blade. I would've got the 8' angle blade but the suggestion of checking my door width made the decision on the angle blade width for me. The wider blade would've been a tight fit.

    7' or 8' Angle Blade

EA's additional shipping charge was $200, which is reasonable but at the end of the day I decided to support my local dealer and ordered the angle blade from Bobcat. It has most if not all of the EA features and the delivered cost is about the same. Hopefully I made the right decision.

    7' or 8' Angle Blade

Hopefully you're correct about the extra shipping charges. I'm only a little further west outside of their free shipping. Having bolt-on sides would be a real benefit. I'll ask about them after they get back to me on the extra shipping charges. This blade should work out great for me...

    7' or 8' Angle Blade

I see now how the blade is able to accomplish the side to side offset. Nice blade and at an attractive price. I've asked about shipping to my location, which is outside of their free shipping area.

    7' or 8' Angle Blade

Are you referring to the hydraulic version. In either case I don't see that it offsets to one side or the other.

    Reasons for voiding factory warranty?

Install of foam tire ballasts or rear hydraulic remote /3rd function kit(s)?

    Reasons for voiding factory warranty?

The Owner's Manual for my new Bobcat CT2040 tractor states that using foam tire ballasts will void the factory warranty. I don't quite know the logic behind that but will an owner install of a Bobcat rear hydraulic remote kit or 3rd function kit have similar consequences?
