I don't know if this describes it correctly but the loader on my new Bobcat CT2040 doesn't lower and curl at the same time. I'm certain my previous John Deere 855 did. Aren't all compact tractors capable of this? If not and mine isn't capable of it is there some way of retrofitting this feature?

I ended up getting the 6' box blade and 7' angle blade. I would've got the 8' angle blade but the suggestion of checking my door width made the decision on the angle blade width for me. The wider blade would've been a tight fit.

EA's additional shipping charge was $200, which is reasonable but at the end of the day I decided to support my local dealer and ordered the angle blade from Bobcat. It has most if not all of the EA features and the delivered cost is about the same. Hopefully I made the right decision.

I see now how the blade is able to accomplish the side to side offset. Nice blade and at an attractive price. I've asked about shipping to my location, which is outside of their free shipping area.

Are you referring to the hydraulic version. In either case I don't see that it offsets to one side or the other.

Install of foam tire ballasts or rear hydraulic remote /3rd function kit(s)?

The Owner's Manual for my new Bobcat CT2040 tractor states that using foam tire ballasts will void the factory warranty. I don't quite know the logic behind that but will an owner install of a Bobcat rear hydraulic remote kit or 3rd function kit have similar consequences?

My Bobcat CT2040 has a rear wheel width, outside to outside of 62". I may get a different tractor that has a width of 68". Is there any downside to getting a 6' box blade for either tractor?

Following is the question raised with Bobcat and their response if you call it one. The Operations and Maintenance Manual is not consistent with your Maintenance Service Kits. The Manual doesn't show the oil and filter to be replaced until 400 hrs yet the Service Kits are at 50 hrs, 100 hrs...

Adding to the confusion, Bobcat's 50 hr maintenance kit shows replacement of the oil filter and again at 100 hrs and 200 hrs. The manual doesn't show it being replaced until 400 hrs.

Something doesn't sound right. The Rim Guard website shows a typical retail price for their product at about $0.28 per lb. $1/lb. is way over priced - jeez that's about $11/gallon. How about windshield washer fluid or one of its variants?

Larger doesn't necessarily translate into something more powerful, at least that's what I experienced with my smaller but more robust former John Deere tractor. I mistakenly assumed more hp even on a heavier tractor would end up being more powerful. Unfortunately I was wrong.

That's basically the same price I was charged for my CT2040 paying cash. After the dealer applied their stupid fees my free loader ended up being about the same as your discount. So, I suspect the dealer is getting the free loader from Bobcat and passing along some of the discount to you.

Continuing with the love affair with my new Bobcat CT2040 I thought the challenge of finding its oil filler cap would be interesting. Hint - It's not shown in the 2nd photo on top of the valve cover where it would've been easiest to access had the hood been better designed.

I would like to install rear hydraulic remotes on my CT2040. Is the kit that Bobcat provides complete with everything needed? I tried to get an installation manual in advance of buying the kit but Bobcat will not provide it.
