Thanks for the responses everyone. I did wind up loosening a top hose from the hydraulic cylinder for the boom on my FEL to drain it. It came down very slowly and I stopped it about 2 feet off the ground and got the grapple off of it. This height also allowed me to load it up on the trailer...
Ok thanks for clarifying oldnslo. That's kinda what I thought but didn't want to get messy if I didn't have to. And thanks for the feedback dirttoys. I always try to be extra careful around any thing mechanical and especially when parts of it are above my head :)
Thanks,

Thanks. If I understand what you're saying correctly I think i've already tried that step. I can actuate the curl/roll function by pushing or pulling on the cable. the raise/lower cable will raise when pushed in but will not lower when pulled out. And the other end of the cables are really...
Hi All,
Tractor has about 440 hours on it, is always kept inside when not in use, and seems the joystick cables are somewhat crusted or caked with rust or something similar. My joystick decided to blow up when my FEL was fully extended over a pile of brush. So, I've taken apart the joystick...
Hi All,
This is a repost. I initially put this question at the end of this thread:
https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kioti-owning-operating/396463-nx4510hst-fel6010-joystick-cable.html
Since my issue was not exactly the same as the OP in the link above I felt it best to start a new...
Kioti NX 5010 HST. This morning I was leveling an area and moving around some dirt with both my box blade and bucket and had an accident while backing up. Ran into a stump that was about a foot high with my box blade and it severely bent my left lower 3 point arm and also broke the cast steel...
Could not believe it happened but a rock flew out from under my brush hog and put a big hole in the back of my HST hydraulic filter. Tractor started pulling strange like it was catching on something so I cut er off and low and behold hydraulic fluid was gushing out of the back of my filter...
Hi All,
Have ordered some LED lights for my tractor and am trying to figure out the best place to tie them into a 12 volt power source. I intend to mount them on the ROPS. That said, I can see there is a place for several types of fuses in the fuse box. Anyhow, have a couple of questions...
Hi All,
NX5010, 88hrs. I was grappling yesterday and my electronic linked pedal started malfunctioning. Once engaged it will only accelerate up to about 1800 RPMs. I'm guessing an odd branch has pulled on something or moved something out of adjustment. Anyone familiar with where the...
Hi All,
Wanted to share a project I had completed to strengthen my grill guard and provide more protection from damage. Using a grapple can be hazardous to a tractor's appearance. Already will have to replace a part of my grill so this hopefully will prevent me from having to replace it...
In my quest to make things more stable on hills was looking to see if anyone has put dual rear wheels on their NX Series tractor? Have already turned the wheels around and added fluid to the tires on mine and was looking to see if anyone had taken this additional step.
All,
< 18 hours till I get to the 50-hour service interval so starting to review what needs to be done. I've been trying to interpret my manual for my NX and I am confused. I've attached a pic of the maintenance intervals as prescribed by the manual below.
According to the manual there is no...
All, I did receive my 54" single lid grapple on Friday from Fedex which is 6 weeks to the day from when I ordered it from EA. Picked it up late in the day and was able to install the grapple same day in the dark no less without issue. Hook up was a breeze and hydro hoses were exactly what was...
Hi All,
Just wanted to say "Hey". Joined the forum around a year ago and first time posting. Will take delivery on tractor listed in the title tomorrow. Anyhow, part time cattle farmer on 25 ac in the hills of middle Tennessee working to make it my full time job don't cha know. I've been...
