Help me pick a tractor (25-45 HP)

I had a 35 hp tractor for 3 acres and it was fine, but when I purchased the 7 acres next door, it was too small to maintain the 10 acres efficiently. If your trailer is too small for a heavier tractor, upgrade that too. Get yourself a 20' 10k trailer so you can fit the tractor with the loader...

    Mini Ex Advice Please

Buy a 5k disposable excavator or take 5k in depreciation over the same amount of use, it's just whether you have the scratch to deposit in the bank. But with that deposit comes much less breakdowns, failures, and a warranty. A name brand 1.7 is actually 4k lbs, where these 1.8-2t chinese...

    Mini Ex Advice Please

Without starting a brand new thread, I need some help on size. 4k lb machine vs 6k lb. ViO17v25, U17v27. Without the experience, I dont understand the real world applications I would gain or lose. Obviosuly the 25/27 is slightly larger, and if I ever did some side work the 17 would fit...

    Mini Ex Advice Please

I think I am in the market for a mini. I own a 10 acre commercial boarding stable and have a list of projects that would be much easier(and maybe even cheaper in the long run) if I buy one. Main uses would be trenching drainage, landscaping, and getting in and out of paddocks to scrape mud and...

L6060 50 hour service, hydraulic filter changes

I think its 200 for the hst filter and 400 for the hydraulic filter+fluid. I usually check them off in the book as I do them, and I also write the hours and date on the filters with a paint marker as well. But yeah, it would be helpful if equipment manufactures had log pages in the operators...

L6060 50 hour service, hydraulic filter changes

The transmission filter I got in there with hammer and chisel and gently tapped on it till it broke loose. The hydraulic filter was easy to get off. There was a fair amount of metal filings on the magnet, but I guess this is normal as the machine breaks in and the reason we change them at 50...

L6060 50 hour service, hydraulic filter changes

Book is telling me to change both filters. The dealer also supposedly sent me everything I needed for the 50 hour service, and both hydraulic filters were in the box. But doesnt one of the filters require the system to be drained or the fluid will all pour out from the filter? The sent be a...

    Hydraulic Top Link for L6060

Am I correct in assuming that check valve prevents the rod from moving over time without input on the controls?

    Hydraulic Top Link for L6060

I need to order a Hydraulic Top Link for my new L6060. The mechanical top link it came with is Cat 1 on the tractor side and Cat 2 on the implement side, and seems to have a minimum length of 24". Im running at about 32" +/- with the arena drag we currently use, and use a bushing to to come...

Installing rear remote, which position for the valves? L6060

I'm installing 2 rear remotes on my new Kubota L6060, and the instructions leave much to be desired. So I have 2 valves, a float detent and a double acting valve. Is there a standard or preferential position for each valve? 1 or 2?

Upgrading tractor for dragging horseback riding arenas

Funny, thats the same tractor(TC40a actually) I am replacing. I inheritted it when i purchased the farm next door. It pulls great, but cosmetically was treated very very poorly. Fenders are trashed, hood is so smashed up it just bounces around, bucket rotted out, every light busted, etc. We...

Upgrading tractor for dragging horseback riding arenas

The drag I am looking to get is almost identical to the Parma, only difference is it’s welded together instead of bolted. I don’t think this style of drag requires much hp unless you are ripping real deep or have the grading bar set very aggressively.
