    Hydraulic Top Link for L6060

Am I correct in assuming that check valve prevents the rod from moving over time without input on the controls?

    Hydraulic Top Link for L6060

I need to order a Hydraulic Top Link for my new L6060. The mechanical top link it came with is Cat 1 on the tractor side and Cat 2 on the implement side, and seems to have a minimum length of 24". Im running at about 32" +/- with the arena drag we currently use, and use a bushing to to come...

Installing rear remote, which position for the valves? L6060

I'm installing 2 rear remotes on my new Kubota L6060, and the instructions leave much to be desired. So I have 2 valves, a float detent and a double acting valve. Is there a standard or preferential position for each valve? 1 or 2?

Upgrading tractor for dragging horseback riding arenas

Funny, thats the same tractor(TC40a actually) I am replacing. I inheritted it when i purchased the farm next door. It pulls great, but cosmetically was treated very very poorly. Fenders are trashed, hood is so smashed up it just bounces around, bucket rotted out, every light busted, etc. We...

Upgrading tractor for dragging horseback riding arenas

The drag I am looking to get is almost identical to the Parma, only difference is it’s welded together instead of bolted. I don’t think this style of drag requires much hp unless you are ripping real deep or have the grading bar set very aggressively.

    Cat 1 vs Cat 2 Quick Hitch/implements

I just upgraded from a 35hp Hydro tractor and 40hp gear tractor to a New Kubota L6060. Something I didnt account for was my old tractors were had Cat 1 3pt hitches, and the L6060 is a Cat 2. I know everything can be "fixed" with bushings, but the Cat 1 quick hitch is narrower than the Cat 2...

Upgrading tractor for dragging horseback riding arenas

This is exactly why I hate the TR3 so much. Its so easy take too much material with you. Ground is wet and the tractor/drag tires sink in a litttle more than usual and you are making waves in your arena. And then the way the drag reacts as the tractor goes over waves just makes it 10x worse...

Upgrading tractor for dragging horseback riding arenas

I pulled the trigger and my 2023 L6060 was delivered last week. One of the final features that tipped me in that direction was the location of the fuel fill, which is right next to the right side step to get into the cab as opposed to on top of the hood. Top speed in Mid Range is actually a...

Is the HST+ right for me? (Grooming riding arenas)

I just wanted to thank everyone for their input. My brand new 2023 Grand L6060 arrived yesterday. The 2 rear hydraulics and 3rd function up front are all on backorder, so I will have to install them myself when they come in(I didnt want to wait possibly many months to receive my tractor). I...

Is the HST+ right for me? (Grooming riding arenas)

Upgrading tractor for dragging horseback riding arenas

My local dealer just called and they got surprised with a delivery of 2 new Workmaster 65's with cabs. I know we have been talking about whether a 60 hp hydro machine would have the speed while dragging, but I know a a gear machine like the Workmaster would. Any thoughts about this machine?

Upgrading tractor for dragging horseback riding arenas

This and the feature that you can link the throttle to the pedal to make it more like driving a car will save on gas and possible damage my employees do by constantly running my existing HST in low RPM even while working. I big part of me is leaning towards the 6060. If I knew I could use...

Is the HST+ right for me? (Grooming riding arenas)

Maintaining the arena during a barrel race, you are really just filling in the holes and top dressing, so the faster the better. the 7-8mph is just fine for a deeper drag and ripping up the base.

Is the HST+ right for me? (Grooming riding arenas)

Ground level fueling is important. Honestly, saving a few grand on a 60k tractor is the least of my concerns, and I like idea of all the bells and whistles of the L. Sadly my local dealer gets no allocation so I am stuck dealing with out of state, and I have been hoping to find someone with...

Is the HST+ right for me? (Grooming riding arenas)

Im trying to decide between the L6060 and MX6000, both in cab models. Primary use of the tractor will be to groom the 3 riding arenas at our boarding farm. The HST+ seemed appealing until I saw the specs and it really just seems to add a lower gear to each range, not a higher one. We produce...

Upgrading tractor for dragging horseback riding arenas

Can you elaborate on this? I read about this, but when i asked my dealer, he didnt have a clue. L6060 is on my short list and I read that besides the normal 3 ranges of your standard hydrostatic trany, there is an additional "gear" in there. The only thing I didnt like is it doesnt seem to...

I am in the market to upgrade my tractor. The primary function will be to drag the 3 riding arenas at our boarding stable. What I THINK i need is based on the shortcomings of what I already have. I own a 35 HP hydrostatic which I purchased and a 40hp gear tractor which I inheritted. Pulling...

TC40A Front Axle and FWD questions

TC40A Front Axle and FWD questions

Thank you, I did purchase a pdf copy of the repair manual for my tractor. It definitely seems more likely to be my front end, so I am going to start there. TC40A Intermittent Start Issues

I just want to thank everyone who shared info and pointed me in the right direction. I finally got around to installing the new starting circuit last night and it worked like a charm. It was definitely easier than I had thought it would be. If I remember, I will snap a picture later to share.

    TC40A Intermittent Start Issues

I have everything to attempt the start relay, just haven’t gotten around to it. Do you happen to have the part number for that key switch you purchased? I don’t know if it’s coincidence, but the tractor starts instantly every time when cold. It’s when I shut it off and try to start it again...

    TC40A Intermittent Start Issues

another symptom to add, the starting issue is much more prevalent when the machine is warm. When cold, it almost always starts right up. It’s when I run it to operating temperature, shut it off, and try to start it again that it’s the hardest to start again. Does this tidbit help with a...

    TC40A Intermittent Start Issues

Definitely not. The only bypassing that was done was in order to troubleshoot. All switches have been tested and/or replaced with no change in symptoms. There may be issues somewhere else in the wiring, but it's not coming from the switches themselves.
