TC29D auger stuck, freed, but now won't start

So that brought up another question. My helper plugged the wires in for me before I got a chance to intervene. The two wires coming off the switch are black, but the ones that plug it into the harness are orange and green. Please tell me it makes no difference...

TC29D rear transmission safety switch "balk pin" -

@TractorTech you're a lifesaver! Logic prevails. So then, one more question. I did check the switch while installed and had continuity. Didn't get the opportunity to check the switch's plunger action in the rush to reinstall it into the transmission case...however, the manual says that it...

TC29D auger stuck, freed, but now won't start

@dlctcg, I searched around for a balk pin thread but no joy. Started a new one to see if anybody knows which way that pin goes. I really appreciate your sharing the manual. Mine didn't address it at all. Makes you wonder...I guess posting is like fishing, if you don't throw your line in, you...

TC29D rear transmission safety switch "balk pin" -

This is part 2 to "it won't start"...but in tracing circuits on my tractor, rI emoved the rear PTO safety switch and the pin fell out. It is rounded on one end and flat on the other. Which way does it go back into the transmission? Two different parts diagrams are of little help, actually have...

TC29D auger stuck, freed, but now won't start

Wow, that is a real help. My manual shows pretty much the same diagram, which is how I found the balk pin. However, it didn't say anything about the pin (nor the hydro bath, but that wasn't a surprise!) I had tested it in the machine, but since the manual showed it with "pin out" and "pin in"...

TC29D auger stuck, freed, but now won't start

Thanks, that's the way it works on mine, too. I had a little issue when I went to test it...see the photo!

TC29D auger stuck, freed, but now won't start

I wish that was the issue. I checked both with a meter - check my post with the picture with what "may" have fallen out of the transmission from the rear PTO safety switch...

TC29D auger stuck, freed, but now won't start

I pulled out the shop manual and went down the line on the testing for "no start" conditions. The manual neglects to mention that removing the rear PTO switch comes with a quick dose of hydraulic fluid. I knew this already as I just did the 9 gallons or so when I did the filters! BUT, I found...

TC29D auger stuck, freed, but now won't start

Good intentions...was digging a hole for a new flag pole and the auger stuck on a root. After digging out the root and trying the auger several times, suddenly the tractor wouldn't start. Lights came on the dash, but nothing. A friend came over and used a huge crescent wrench and turned the main...

Hi, I've tried for several days now to visit that page, but it doesn't work. Eventually times out. Thanks!

New Holland FEL noisy - what's the problem?

I understand, however, it's a MP4 file and it won't let me load it to the page. Any suggestions?

New Holland FEL noisy - what's the problem?

I've attached a video of the noise my TC29D is making. Hope someone can help me figure out what to do. I changed one of the FEL's hydraulic hoses. I cannot find anywhere in the shop manual how to bleed the air from the system. The noise gets worse with higher RPM/pressure from the pump. First...
