Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

I have this blade in the barn, it’s got a rubber cutting edge, I’ll deff have it mounted on the FEL before next winter and I’ll zip threw the snow. This is my first year using a bucket, it tends to scratch concrete and dig in the yard if I’m not paying attention, don’t like that result. But got...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

Not as much as some of you all but Ohio Finally got some snow to clear off. Got my neighbor and myself dug out. Lightish snow around 7”, Mahindra 5555 (no ballast) with ag tires, using just the bucket, I was surprised how well Ag tires on this tractor did in snow, I had no traction issues, my...

    D-Con

I saw a mouse in the garage today, I just thought I would brag a bit because I still have two wedges of D-Con left lol. One will go in the garage, the other in the barn. Stuff has been in the closet for 5 or 6 years. Don’t really have issues with mice at the house I bought.

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! SNOW FINALLY FOUND OHIO!!!!! First year pushing snow after selling my cabbed tractor and bought a larger open station. It’s around 17 degrees with a 15mph wind. If I had a face mask I would have been comfortable. Cab is great but I don’t miss mine. First time clearing snow...

    Data Mining Protection

I wonder if the TractorByNet app data mines my phone. Same question for computer users. After watching the latest videos of Facebook and Twitter CEO in court I’m backing away from FB. I caught on to the ad targeting long ago, what was really spooky in the last year or two, was when I had a...

Sell Gas and Buy Battery Chainsaw?

I have had my eye on a battery powered Makita chainsaw. I used to cut firewood as a main source of heating but moved to a house where I don’t heat with wood. I sold my Stihl 660 magnum this past year, I used it maybe once a year in the past 4 years. I have a Husqvarna 262xp (62cc) still...

What attachment to buy next that’s most beneficial?

At around 80in wide tractor is loads more stable than my last one. I think the extra 600lbs on the rear will be perfect for what I’m doing with it. I think two weights on each wheel would stick out too wide from the rear wheel, each weight is 5 1/2in wide. From stud to even with rubber is about...

What attachment to buy next that’s most beneficial?

I made my mind up on a cutter bar and 300lb wheel weights for the rear. One weight per wheel. It’s not a bunch but will help ballast loader work and traction. Don’t want to go much more weight because I won’t be able to haul the thing lol. Adding 600lbs of weights will put me at 8600lb just the...

How to properly load a bumper pull deck over trailer?

The GMC truck was a 2500hd 6.6 Duramax, extended cab with 8ft bed. It was as far back as I could get it, tank full of diesel. Might not have been perfectly balanced but we made it to the garage it needed to go. This was a F350 460 7.5L gas truck, lighter in the front. Dual rear gas tanks...

How to properly load a bumper pull deck over trailer?

I get the ratio of what should be on the tongue but with axles so far back I feel engine forward with tractor and bush hog or truck would put all the weight on the tongue of the trailer and exceed the limit.

How to properly load a bumper pull deck over trailer?

I have been looking at deck over trailers pretty heavily last few weeks (window shopping). The trailer I would be interested in would be a bumper pull. All the deck overs have the axles so far back that it seems loading them without having a crazy amount of tongue weight, most loads would have...

    Your towing rigs and trailers

I had a question about a trailer. Kinda in the market for a trailer (sometime 2021) and have used lots of different trailers from tandem deck overs to utility carts. Never used a gooseneck. Needs pulling 9500lbs plus the trailer. The trailer that’s got my attention is the drive over fender...

    TODAYS SEAT TIME

First time bush hogging and first time bush hogging with new tractor. 7ft rotary cutter on Mahindra 5555 (55hp) made easy work of cutting the pasture down. This little pasture (1.1 acres) most likely won’t get any more cattle on it till next spring. Grass will grow a little but not much before...
