Sorry the picture is sideways, PTO is left side and filter is right side.
I have used it quite a bit and noticed a dent in the filter, it grew until it punched a hole in it.
They are so close together that maybe the the body flexes and hits it.
It´s frame mounted.
Hi folks, the backhoe gear pump hits and breaks the hydraulic filter.
Am I not connecting the PTO correctly?
Could I flip the filter upside down or relocate it, somehow?
Appreciate any feedback.

Now on to operation. I am familiar in general with chipping, but tractors and hydraulics are new to me.
I think I'm fairly clear now with the feed mechanism. I start the tractor and activate the roller by tying lever in the forward position.
Unfamiliar with PTO. I have dual clutch and 540/1000...
Thanks for the info, I am starting to understand a little more, I did the bucket thing and the flow from the tractor when the lever is pushed forward comes from the top connector.
If I understood right, the power from the tractor should go to the flow or speed control valve (blue) and the return...
DFKRUG, You suggest I now disconnect the 2 hoses at the chipper and put them into a bucket?
From what I´ve read on this forum I should bungy the auxiliary shifter in the front or back position.
Then start the tractor and see witch hose the fluid flows from and connect that port to the valve...
