Using a Disc for the first time

Every bit of information and links you guys have posted I already printed and made a hard copy and read it. The thing that gets tricky is that when the threepoint goes into the ground the angle changes so it's not that easy to figure out percentages of depth, especially if you have it on float...

Using a Disc for the first time

Hi, thanks for posting, I really don't have a plan I'm kinda just learning how to use these attachments, I want to plant a crop when I get time. I do understand that a disc is not going to get the dirt smooth, I just wanted to learn how to adjust the disc so I could operate it as smooth as...

Using a Disc for the first time

So I went back to this gang set up and did a bunch of passes, the set up is still 1" rear disc off the ground. Is this as good as it gets or do you have other suggestions.

I then put the rear disc straight and that got worse

Using a Disc for the first time

The third set of passes I adjusted the top link so the rear disc was 1" off the ground and you can see the adjustment to the gangs in the photo. It seems to be getting smoother.

Second two passes I only moved the rear discs one hole opposite from the front instead of two, the trash can lid marks the new passes to the right of the lid.

Using a Disc for the first time

I read all your guys info and took the info out to the Tractor today to see what I could do, the first three passes are with the front disc touching the ground and the rear about 2" above the ground, I changed the back angle of the disc two holes difference from the front, and I'm letting the...

Using a Disc for the first time

Hello, it is January 8th here in central California and the grass and weeds are starting to grow, this in my first time using a disc, I disced the field length wise and then a second pass vertical, I'm wondering why there is such deep grooves 12" deep and then shallow groves, is this normal for...

    Disc Harrow with a JD2032R

Jeff, I have read many of your helpful post in the past, I just purchased this cultivator but before I use it I wanted to buy the Dirt dog APP60-5 to do the primary tillage. I live in CA. And at the moment I am having a hard time finding one in stock or finding a dealer that can help me, two...

    Disc Harrow with a JD2032R

Hi, just trying to select the proper size disc harrow and wanted to know if anyone with a JD2032R knows what size is best for this tractor, it has 32.5 engine hp, weight 1973 lbs + loaded tires. I am interested in the Dirt Dog 100-6, they say the 100 series is rated to 35hp and weighs 474 lbs...

    Titan Attachments

I have their ballast box, FEL Forks, and JD QA plate. You should first understand why your getting such a great price compared to USA implements, they are made in China, the welds are ok not great, the packaging is sometimes poor and quality control can be hit or miss, that being said, if you...

Titan QA to 3 PT hitch

I have my Titan JD QA plate and my HF QH, now for the attachment. The top hook will be above the JD QA plate and there is nothing to weld the bracket too. The top link from your three point attaches to the top hook bracket and I am sure the engineers are relying on the top link to hold the...

Why can't you put sweeps on a single row cultivator?

This is a TSC single row cultivator made by Behlen Country, I called Behlen today and asked if I could put sweeps on their cultivator and they said no. The spacing between the C shanks is 10", the dirt is really soft and I am just wanting to have more coverage for weed control, not looking to...

    Rotor tiller oil leak.

I have under ten hours on this new tiller and I have an oil leak, I was able to tighten the bolts up about 1/8" turn and I will keep an eye on it to see if it stops. Is this kind of leak common on new implements. I'm guessing there must be a paper gasket between the two parts.
