    Engine Oil for 2860M

Thanks for the inputs and validating the update. I'll be going with the Rotella T6 5w40. The 5 or 10w30 would have likely performed adequately, but I figure they had a reason for updating the specs. I just wish MF/Agco would make this info like spec updates easier to find on their website.

    Engine Oil for 2860M

The owners manual for my 2860M calls for either 5w30 or 10w30. I was looking around online and found a quick reference sheet and a video from Massey Ferguson that calls for 5w40. Then a quick google search indicated that there may have been an update to 15w40. Was there a technical bulletin...

Need help in pricing for 3032E Package

Thanks for your valuation. That's pretty close to the value I gave them as a starting point. Although I hadn't intended to purchase any equipment this year, I am honored to add this to my 'fleet'.

Need help in pricing for 3032E Package

My niece did go talk to the dealer they purchased the tractor from, and they basically gave her the run around. I was able to provide dealer comps for all of the equipment they had, and gave them a very fair offer based on that. I now own another tractor, and they don't have to deal with tire...

Need help in pricing for 3032E Package

Thank you. I've been doing some research on Machinery Pete and elsewhere online since I posted this and found similar pricing, also found there were a few tractor/loaders that were in the $20K range with similar hours. Your estimates help to validate what I am coming up with. I also like...

Need help in pricing for 3032E Package

My nephew recently passed away, and his family has asked me to help them establish pricing for his tractor and implements. Most of the comparable stuff I have found has been from dealers, so I came here hoping to determine reasonable private party pricing. The tractor is a 3032E hydro with...

    MF 2800 M HST

I have the 2860M HST with Deluxe Cab. I'm not sure about turning radius or top speed, but I can say it was cheaper than a JD 4052R with a basic cab. I really wanted a JD, but the Massey just beat it out in bang for the buck. A similar Kubota was even more. The only thing that makes me wish...

    I've joined Club Red

I did the opposite. Started looking at the 1840M, and ended up with the 2860M. Now if it will just get here...

    I've joined Club Red

I did it. Signed the papers Friday. Now waiting on delivery. I looked at Deere and Kubota, but felt like I got a lot more tractor for my money with the Massey Ferguson. I was also looking at a Deere 4052R and Kubota L4760. I decided on a 2860M with hydro and deluxe cab. I'm having a third...

4R series and Country of Origin

I get the global thing... I just want to put forth my best effort to know where my dollars are going.

4R series and Country of Origin

Deere Loaders and Cabs are Mexico. Engines are Japan. I'm not sure where Danfoss builds the hydrostatic trans. Nobody seems to know where the rest comes from, even the dealers I asked. However, one did say "probably India"....

4R series and Country of Origin

I went and crawled around on a 4R cab model at a local dealer. I can say the loader and cab are both made in Mexico. The engine is a Yanmar from Japan, I think we all knew that. The tractor itself just says assembled in USA, which indicates less than 50% domestic parts content. I couldn't...

4R series and Country of Origin

I've been lurking here for many years, and am finally getting close to a new tractor purchase with a 4052R HST Cab model at the top of my list. Also looking at 2800M Massey's, but I'll save that for a different thread. I know the final assembly location of the 4R series and others is in...
