    Howe's Diesel Defender

I figure Power Service is cheap at my use rate. It eliminates a lot of potential issues, and causes no harm. My station has a lot of turnover, large industrial equipment fueled there all day long. However my use rate is slow, and I like to baby my equipment.

    RK55H Hot Gas Tank

Seems the hot tank is the least of ones worries. Wow. AI Overview: Common rail diesel engines have fuel coolers to prevent fuel degradation and maintain optimal performance. High-pressure fuel injection in common rail systems generates significant heat. This heat can degrade the fuel, leading...

    RK55H Hot Gas Tank

Oh. I thought todays RK55 was otherwise identical to the TYM 574 My bad. Sounds like TYM f'ed up.

    RK55H Hot Gas Tank

What's interesting is that TYM makes this model, but the TYM is not common rail. RK specs a different engine that is... But must have forgotten to request a fuel cooler. Whoops

How could Artificial Intelligence become dangerous?

Those under 25 go to it first, and trust it more. That is the reality. Us older folks, we may have our view, but in short order the world won't be ours. Our thoughts on this particular topic are quite moot.

How could Artificial Intelligence become dangerous?

Art? AI is destroying graphic design, and writing. Many authors already admit that they won't be able to write as good as AI. Graphic designers are completely unnecessary. Hell, one of the most followed bands on Spotify a few months ago, was completely AI generated. Again, people are about...

So, what will humans be needed for? To eat?

Or work. The idea is becoming that some job sectors will see 30-40% unemployment in 5 years or less. This could cause a major shift in the trajectory of humanity. I don't think a lot of people realize how unnecessary they are about to become

    Beekeeping

Deployed my last hive box last night. We are at 16, and I think I'm good with that. Is like to keep at least 10 good producers, and 6 in the wings in case of losses. I'm still building hives. Planning 15 for sale next spring. Those and a motorcycle restoration will be my winter projects.

Once the hives are far enough apart, drift isn't an issue. We don't stack them nearly as close as the langstroth beeks do, so drift isn't an issue

Entry level California home costs up 88% since 2020.

We are seeing a real slow down in Indiana right now in real estate. My wife sold $5m in the past 8 months, but the last two months the phones are silent. A lot of realty groups are sounding the alarm now. Good news, she was already enrolled to finish her college degree and planned to leave...

We used to get more artistic... But that takes too much time and energy at this point. Now I fill all the staple holes with putty and sand before paint. I chamfer all of the corners. I sand the boxes between coats of paint to make them super smooth.

I have some from way back. The changes are small, or internal. Small like adding latches, adding cable lanyards to hold the lid open, making the lid 1" taller to accommodate insulation for winter. Some internal parts were made thicker to assist in assembly and resist warping, since I often...
