Massey GC1725M - will a snow blower be productive with this?

This would be to do several driveways in one area. The machine will have a heated cab. Can this sized tractor and blower handle northeast snowfalls? Any other thoughts on the machine in general?

How the heck do you guys torque a cylinder nut to 600 ft lb? Rebuilding Bobcat combo bucket cylinder.

The reason that I am looking to see what thread locker is used is because I bought a Stens branded seal kit and the nut in that kit does not come with thread lock. From the pictures of the Bobcat part, it appears it has thread locker on it.

How the heck do you guys torque a cylinder nut to 600 ft lb? Rebuilding Bobcat combo bucket cylinder.

I found out that the proper torque is 150-180 ft lb. Bobcat seal kits come with thread lock on the nuts. Any idea what thread locker should be used in this application?

How the heck do you guys torque a cylinder nut to 600 ft lb? Rebuilding Bobcat combo bucket cylinder.

I have to give props to Summit Bobcat in Walden NY. They read the manual over the phone for me. 300ft lb is what the manual calls for and speaks nothing of thread sealant. I have a torque wrench that goes to 250ft lb.

How the heck do you guys torque a cylinder nut to 600 ft lb? Rebuilding Bobcat combo bucket cylinder.

Well, I just took the nut off and all I had to do was turn it with a regular ratchet. Not only that, I put almost no torque through it. It was "snugged" at best. Either that, or it loosened up. It took zero effort to remove the nut.

How the heck do you guys torque a cylinder nut to 600 ft lb? Rebuilding Bobcat combo bucket cylinder.

I understand. Where I am stuck is that there is a huge difference between 600 ft lb and 90 ft lb. I specialize in breaking sh*t. :) So, I would feel more comfortable if I could find the service manual. But, so far, no luck. I may have to call the Bobcat dealer. My guess is that they will just...

How the heck do you guys torque a cylinder nut to 600 ft lb? Rebuilding Bobcat combo bucket cylinder.

Well, I will have to do more homework. My manual for my bobcat s150 has 600 ft lb for the lift cylinder and only 100 for the plate tilt and 90 ft lb for the bobtach wedges. So.... I need to find the proper torque for the bobcat combo bucket. My guess is it is below 600.

How the heck do you guys torque a cylinder nut to 600 ft lb? Rebuilding Bobcat combo bucket cylinder.

1.25 rod 2.5 bore. Thanks guys. Keep the ideas coming. I like the idea of maybe building something that I can put my torque wrench to. This way I can just use that in the future. I may be missing something, but then I don't have to stand on it. to stand on it, I have to position it in such...

How the heck do you guys torque a cylinder nut to 600 ft lb? Rebuilding Bobcat combo bucket cylinder.

I am putting new seals in and apparently I need to get the bottom nut to 600 ft lb. I do not have that kind of torque wrench. How do most people achieve this? Thanks.

Trying to remove 50 inch oak tree stump with Bobcat backhoe. Struggling

Well, forget using the chainsaw. I dulled a chain in no time. Sharpen and repeat. I didn't get much done. So..... there is yet another change in plan. I will have free access to a Vermeer sc70xt stump grinder. I will be doing some other stumps and will attempt to reduce the size of this to...

Trying to remove 50 inch oak tree stump with Bobcat backhoe. Struggling

Yeah, I think I am going to ditch the burn idea. I think power washing and using the chain saw is the way to go. Draging it could work to. But, I would like to get it into manageable pieces that I can grapple with my smaller skid steer. Thanks.

Trying to remove 50 inch oak tree stump with Bobcat backhoe. Struggling

Here is what the underside looks like. I am hoping to burn it in this position. Maybe that will allow the flames to climb. The problem with the burning so far is that I had to burn a lot of wood around the stump in order to burn the stump. I had to pile wood around it. Now, like this, I am...

Trying to remove 50 inch oak tree stump with Bobcat backhoe. Struggling

OK folks, I have an update. After having to burn this thing for 5 days, I was able to burn the roots enough to loosen the grip. It was sitting on a rock ledge as expected. The was able to flip it on its side with my backhoe attachment. But, now what? The thing weighs too much to lift up...

Trying to remove 50 inch oak tree stump with Bobcat backhoe. Struggling

The holes are drilled and potassium phosphate, with a boiling hot water chaser has been added to each hole and the big central rotted area. I will wait a few weeks and then apply diesel and light it.

Trying to remove 50 inch oak tree stump with Bobcat backhoe. Struggling

I drilled a couple of test holes so far. I bought a couple of different ship auger bits. It looks like the Warrior Harobor Freight 1 inch diameter 18 inch long bit is the one. They have a better Hercules bit, but you can't back it out. The thing is so aggressive it just pulls you in more and...
