Distribution valve assembled in the correct order ?

Here is the order of the diverter valve parts that worked somewhat. Steering still won't turn right. But at least it's back to un-normal.

The diverter valve is located down by the starter.

Distribution valve assembled in the correct order ?

When I flushed out the distribution valve in my 2004 Workhorse, the power steering stopped working. I topped up the hydraulic tank and bled the steering ram. Before that it would only turn left with a significant load in the front bucket. Now it doesn't turn right or left. The hex cap of the...

Tie Rod End Internal Adjustment ??

Recently, the tie rod ends at each tire, were at their loosest settings. The slot across the top of the tie rod end would not hold any tool I have, except for a flat stamped steel wrench (spanner) from either a die grinder or an angle grinder. The fingers of these wrenches fit perfectly into the...

2004 2840 Workhorse 4wd repaired. More loose bolts.

When I first bought my tractor from my elderly neighbor, I found that 16 bolts were loose on the front drive axle. 8 more were loose from frame to engine mounting. While exploring why the 4wd didn't operate, when I pulled back the tube that covers the front half of the drive shaft, the splined...

2004 2840 WorkHorse Rear tire spacing adjustment ??

The left rear tire is sticking out past the left fender by about 3 inches. The right rear tire is centered perfectly under it's fender. I don't see how wheel spacing is adjustable. The hardware at each end of both rear axles looks similar to each other. Yes the fenders are bolted down tight...

    Brake Shoe Riveting.

Earlier in this thread I mentioned that no glue ended up being used. All these months later, the riveted pads are stopping the tractor nicely. I can lock the tires up solid on dirt. Haven't tried pavement yet.

Metric seal/oring sources for jinma 254 lift cylinders ?

Does anyone have a couple of metric seal sources for our hydraulic cylinders? So far the measurements of the 2 gland nut seals are 28 x 37 x 7 and 28 x 37 x 5. 37 mm is not as easy to find as 36 and 38 mm. Individual or kit form is fine. Thanks !!

Tie Rod End Internal Adjustment ??

This tie rod end pic that I stole from Aliexpress, shows cotter pins with several insertion positions. Does this imply that the tie rod end has end play adjustment built in? Mine sure are sloppy.

    Tire age limits. Foton 254a.

I think the tires on my tractor are original from 2004. They loose air slowly every month or 2. I've been airing them back up to 30 psi. Chinese writing on the side walls. Cracks around the block tread. Nothing serious. Should they be replaced soon ? Mike
